I was looking for a lightweight, well-built smaller format laptop with great features and this one fits the bill nicely. The HDMI connector was a must as I wanted to be able to hook it to my plasma tv and watch BBC iPlayer stuff. Unfortunately the sound isn't configured to run over the HDMI connector easily. I have fiddled around and managed to get it to work sometimes but the help feature isn't, well, that helpful. Sound is impressive from such ... ...of portability. The processor is fast and battery life good. It is amazingly cool underneath which is a boon when using on your lap for long periods. My work's Lenovo X61 is like a furnace in this regard. The screen is bright and with great definition but susceptible to becoming much darker from fairly small changes in viewing angle. The quality of construction is great. (+) positive aspects include the speed, apperance/design of the laptop, and the enhanced performance. (-) i have a matt black laptop and it shows dirty finger prints.
