I have spent my christmas money on this monitor. Looking at its clarity in the store made me decide to go for it. Getting home and taking it out of the box, I was pleased with the way it was protected against knocks and bumps. Plenty of cover over the screen to stop scratches. When I got its base fastened to the screen it was then I realised how heavy it was. It sits nice and firm on the desk. The tilting mechanism works great although a bit tight ...
...I would of licked it to adjust upwards aswell, but for the price its good. A 19 inch wide screen is definatly good for watching movies with. Connecting it up to the computer is with the VGA socket (the blue multi pinned one) and no other one is there so one thing to think about when you buy it. The cable is supplied with the unit though. I purchased 2 of these from PC World today and i have been very impressed!!!! I have linked these to my VGA controller so i can have 2 monitors running together showing different things. For example - I have Ciao on one screen and Windows Media Player on the other. Anyway they were £139.99 in PC World and i thought this was superb value for a 19" widescreen TFT. It has the usual VGA input and i wouldn't expect a DVI for £140!!!! I have had this monitor for approx 18 months. It is great looking and picture quality is wonderful (it's certainly better than my flat screen tv!) I have a little problem with my computer not remembering the settings for the screen so every time i turn on my computer my icons are as large as life and i have to re-set the settings in control panel - this problem started approx. 9 months ago when i installed Symantic Norton 360 - so not sure what the ...

This is a great buy picture quality is super and the colours are great. a plug in type set up makes it easy to use with a CD that gives you all the info, you will ever require. and with the built in speakers well nuff said ...

The HP w1907v is a great quality widescreen monitor, but it isn't without a few minor problems. It is a great quality screen, giving a crystal clear view and a great experience for both gaming and watching movies. It is easy to set up and use and even comes with a special software CD to change some advanced settings. And, if you want to listen through headphones you have to unplug the monitors sound and then plug your headphones directly into your computer, which is a real pain.
