...live without it. The HP iPaq 4150 must be one of the best Pocket PC’s around. It is gorgeous, such a sleek and slim design - it has a real WOW factor. And best of all it is packed with features and so offers great value for money. Unlike many other models it has built in WiFi and Bluetooth.

...these handheld devices such as HP ipaq 4150 is changing rapidly, when it came out about four years ago it was the leader of the pack, today it is already trailing behind an average Smartphone. They do make good second hand buys simply because they are so adaptable to peoples needs, they can be picked up for around £50-£100 depending on condition.
Just look at its specifications, it weighs only 132g, its dimensions are only 113mm x 70mm x 13mm, not ... ...document with theses keyboards. Also HP helpline leaves a lot to be desired.
To summarise, these little devices are ideal & this particular model is better than some of the newer ones currently on the market. The ipaq4150 is well made, looks good & is worth considering even second hand. ...

If you want a PDA, then you have to check out this model. I won't list all the specs, you can find them anywhere if you want them. I'll just tell you what its like to use, and what you can do with it.
It has built in WIFI. I have a wireless home network, I can get my email on it, I can chat on Messenger, and I can surf the net, albeit not quite as well as on a pc, but far better than a WAP phone. I can do this at home, or anywhere where there is ... ...points are rapidly springing up everywhere now, but they are expensive.
It has Bluetooth. I have a bluetooth mobile phone, therefore I contacted my service provider (Orange) and got them to enable GPRS on the phone. Now I can connect anywhere via my phone and get email etc, and I only pay for the data transferred.
Its fast. Everything is instant with this beast. You press a button and its there. You can use Word, Excel, Windows Media player, Microsoft ...

The iPAQ 4150 is probabally the best all-round PDA available at the moment. Its capabilities are massive, whether you want to use it as a mini-DVD player, a book reader, or a GPS and directional system (with an extra GPS reciever), it will do the job.
The integrated WiFi and bluetooth is amazing in a device this slimline, and in general, it has better reception than my laptop with a standard WiFi card & reciever.
The screen is crisp, and crystal ... ...books on the screen is very easy, the screen is very gentle on the eyes.
The stylus is very accurate, although you either need to get a softer stylus, or go for some screen protectors to preserve the life of your screen.
Also, the intensity of the backlight on the screen does not have low enough settings, as I never take it off the lowest, and feel like I need more.
The software can sometimes be a bit of a pain, windows sometimes not living up ...

Advantages: Small, Light, Fast Processing Speed, Fantastic Connectivity! Disadvantages: Short battery life (although long enough)
...to the right place. The HP iPAQ is definately a first class product. The looks hardly need describing, see for yourself... it's beautiful. The simple design and smooth curves complement this fantastic device greatly. When I took it out of the box for the first time I could hardly believe how small and light it is. You hardly realise it is in your pocket!
When you first turn it on you have to select various options (time, date, language etc.) but ... ...with the standard Windows interface (all of which is customizable). The programs included are the basic ones: Word, Excel, Media Player, Activesync and games like Solitaire and Jawbreaker (a personal favorite).
Playing the included games really shows off the incredibly fast processing speed and the response time which this device can achieve.
The built in speakers sound OK however using headphones with it is highly recommended.
The iPAQ can also ...

The HP iPAQ 4150, in my opinion is quite frankly great. Two years of this PDA and it has been I have yet had. Runs games and applications like a knife through butter. Smoother than anything i have very had (quite a few.)
What comes in the box:
USB desktop charger/cradle

Now a VERY important bit of information you may need to know is that it has a bad yellow effect...Tilt the screen a bit and it has this horrible yellow shade. This happens in many PDAs but it is worse on some then others, my friend has the same one as me and his has hardly any yellow effect...lucky him :(

Advantages: Small, light, flexible Disadvantages: Not cheap, battery life is short if all features turned on.
I've had this PDA for nine months now and I can truly say it has changed my life! I've had diaries, filofaxes, organisers, etc. you name it, it is sitting in box at home gathering dust!

It also comes with Pocket Word and Excel so you can read all those documents you want to have on the move. Microsoft Reader means you can download e-books to read in bed (but I still prefer the real thing!).
In addition I have downloaded Pocket Acrobat Reader and Pocket Access for more flexibility. I have also downloaded a chess game onto it in case I am stuck on the train....

While HP have now bought out a new line up of PDA's the 4150 is still my favourite, easy to use and powerful too, the main features are the large clear screen the fast processor and the wifi built in, the battery is also removable allowing you to replace or extend the battery life.

...PDA, this is the second HP PDA i have owned, the first one was the IPAQ H1940.
Although these two PDA's are very alike there are some differences which i would like to go over, first of we'll talk about the IPAQ H1940 and then compare it to the ugraded version IPAQ H4150.
First of the designs are very similar, one of the main differences btween the older H1940 is the buttons which were very close together and very hard to use if you have large ... ...spacing the buttons apart more making it more user friendly.
The screen on the H4150 is much better than the H1940 being as the H1940 screen has a very yellowish glow when the PDA is tilted, the yellowish glow is still there with the H4150 but not hardly as noticable making it much easier to use of a night time.
One main let down of the H4150 is the Wifi, althoguh it is very helpful it is a massive drain on battery life and if left on along with ...

I bought this PDA and have come to the conclusion that it is the best PDA in the world for this price. It comes with all the windows applications, Word, Excel, Windows media player, MSN messenger and internet explorer. It has a windows operating ... ...documents you want (and palm os's cannot on clié's, that is why they are not good). The operating system on this PDA is Microsoft Windows Mobile 2003 Premium software, and is a better os than many of the models down from it (1940,1930). This PDA's spec is incredible, it has a 400Mhz prosessor and believe me that fast for something hand held (its about the eqivelent to a pentium 1 computer, which is bloody amazing for something in your pocket). This is the lightest and most portable wireless enable pda out there.. It runs the newest windows mobile 2003 and it uses a 400 Mhz processor. What this means is that it is very fast in loading images and resizing images. It would also mean that movies loaded on this pda runs smoothly. In addition, with the windows system, you can synchronize with your PC easily and efficiently.
The down side of the pda is is that it lacks a keyboard so writing ... ...long emails. What i also discovered is that it is hard to view normal web pages since the screen is so small and the resolution is so low, as a result, a lot of scrolling with the stylus is needed. The average battery of this PDA with the wireless enabled is 2 hours, so even though its stated battery life is 7 hours, keep in mind that bluetooth and wireless burn battery like mad. ...
