Disadvantages Disadvantages Can sometimes be too complicated, Battery Life

I knew that this was what I wanted before I even acquired money for my birthday, so once I'd got the PDA (£350 off Ebay with a 256 SD Card) I was excited to say the least. As I began using it, I was amazed, and so were my friends, I picked it up from the post office on my way to school so everyone saw it whilst I was charging it up in my form room. The screen quality blew me away and it is feature packed, everything you could ever really want or need. One piece of software that came bundled with the PDA was Nevo, a program that used the IR port on the PDA to control any VCR, TV, DVD player ... more

Advantages Advantages Bluetooth, wifi, fingerprint scanner

Disadvantages Disadvantages short battery life, loose all programes if all power lost

We bought the H5450 off of ebay round about the beging of last year for £100 including postage which was a very good deal as this has been going for about £300 at times. It only came with the power lead and sync cradle which can be used with USB or serial cable. There was no software or active sync with this PDA but as with most things no adays they were easy to download from the net including the software to upgrade this to PC2003 standard. The software already installed includes a neat remote controler which can be used on anything from Sky+ to IR remote lighting (really be a pain to your ... more

Advantages Advantages Wifi, Bluetooth, Security features

Disadvantages Disadvantages Uses RAM too fast, battery life

This unit is one of the sisters of a previous model, the HP iPAQ H5550 (read my review). The unit fairs well with those of you who like to travel, the incorparated Wifi, enables the user, if required, to connect to the internet or a wireless LAN while drinking a coffee at the local Starbucks, where Wifi stations are mostly found. The Model features all the expected slots and gimmics that every other model on the market has. There is the Wifi, bluetooth, IR port, SD/MMC slots, fingerprint scanner?, and of course a 65,000 colour TFT monitor. To tell you the truth there isn't anything special ... more

HP iPAQ Pocket PC H5450 The Hewlett Packard IPAQ H5450 is one of the first PDA's ever supporting WIFI. It is one of the more older Pocket pc's still available today. This PDA also boosts Bluetooth An Ir for transferring files between devises. A fingerprint scanner for added security is also added which works very well indeed. the devise itself is strong and feels stable, the battery life is OK with at leased a full days use. This Pocket PC is definitely for the more Heavy Duty user On The block, with the ability to add peripherals such as Bar code reader and added memory through its SD card ... more
