Advantages Advantages Lovely QWERTY keyboard, Android Market support

Disadvantages Disadvantages Battery seems to last less than a day, Awkward Camera

My main reason for purchasing the Desire Z was for the QWERTY keyboard slide-out attachment. I have mixed opinions on touch screen keyboards, and the keyboards found on Blackberry phones looked too small for me to use. The Desire Z has a simple slide mechanism that allows you to flip out the keyboard, turn the phone on its side and type out a quick text message without much fuss. Since I'm a texter more than a caller, this was a godsend and allowed me to type what I wanted without worrying about autocorrect or trying to push the screen to get the right letters. The other interesting feature ... more

Advantages Advantages HTC sense , Keyboard with smooth keys . price , camera , screen response , android , weight

Disadvantages Disadvantages android and HTC sense versions can be upgrade , the metallic back , style of the keyboard opening

I have been using HTC desire Z for some time now , Not my first android phone so android experience was not the jaw dropping for me on this phone , but yes the HTC sense is neat , not just on the phone , but few of the online htc sense features that are offered are really nice ! As i said in the summary this is not the best , but this phone has lot of great features which is ofcource value for money that you pay . Screen is neat and very responsive with the touch , you dont get the feel like some of the other cheap android phones . the wide 3.7 inch screen gives you a very good experience when ... more

Advantages Advantages QWERTY keyboard, great camera, HD recording

Disadvantages Disadvantages Honestly havent found any yet.

My HTC Desire Z Now I have had an oppertunity to play around with the Desire Z I can honestly say this is the best mobile phone I have ever used. As a die hard Blackberry addict, I never thought I could be converted but the combinition of the large touchscreen, qwerty keyboard and the latest version of Android has made this a dream handset. Full Keyboard I know I keep going on about it, but the best feature for me is the full QWERTY keyboard. Its comfortable to use and the keys are all seperate which helps when typing out long messages at speed. It includes a few customisable buttons to help ... more

Advantages Advantages The qwerty Keyboard and overall ease of use

    Disadvantages Disadvantages None whatsoever

Having had my previous phone for over 3 years I decided I needed a new one. I didn't want a blackberry as nearly everyone seems to have one nowadays and so I went for a HTC on a recommendation and when this model came on special offer I went for it. Appearance: Well when this arrived in the post, the box itself was very small, only marginally longer than the phone itself. Even though this is quite a big phone it still fits nicely in my hand and is very, very easy to use. Features: Well I'm not one of these people who knows all about mobile phones and electronics but I do know quite a bit, and ... more

    3 Stars The Desire Z 28/01/2011
    User recommends the product

Advantages Advantages great keyboard, lovely screen, good call quality

Disadvantages Disadvantages poor battery life, buggy software

The Desire Z is a lovely machine, and almost everything I wanted. Lets start with the major selling point of this phone - the keyboard. It is just plain lovely. The keys are well sized, spaced and just firm to the touch. The travel is fairly good. The FN key is sometimes a little awkward to hit but other then that really very good. As a phone not much to complain about either. Calls are strong and loud. Drops hardly ever happen and the 3G radio is pretty good. However, text messages can be a bit of problem with the phone not telling me I have them until I go into the Message application. This ... more

Advantages Advantages cheaper than iphone good android apps

Disadvantages Disadvantages probs with photo storage and also switches itself off alot

When i first took this phone out of its box my first impression was great looking phone, a bit on the heavy side but loved the silver/grey colour and the way it glides open to reveal the keypad. upon turning the phone on i followed the on screen promps to set it up which was all very easy. (phone doesnt come with paper instructions booklet as with most phones these days). Have now been using this phone for 8-9 months and i have to say i am quite disappointed with it. its great for all the regular functions, calling, sending/receiving texts, the camera works well, even getting online is easy ... more

Advantages Advantages android, camera, prosessor, keyboard

Disadvantages Disadvantages maybe just a little too heavy...

I have had this phone about 6 months now and i have been very pleased. The phone feels sturdy in hand not too weighty but not too light. I have heard some people saying that those hinges are too weak and it will crack easily but i disagree. Well... let's talk about android... This phone has Android 2.2 and i think its the best operating system that phone can have (maybe 2.3) If we compare android to nokias or iphones operating systems... well you don't eaven have to ask which one wins... -5mp camera with flash light -800 MHz prosessor (very fast) - qwerty keyboard -GPS, 3G, Wlan, Bluetooth ... more

Advantages Advantages loads of cool features, good screen, full qwerty keyboard

Disadvantages Disadvantages battery life could be improved

The HTC Desire Z is a brilliant phone with a full qwerty physical keyboard and a 480 x 800 WVGA 3.7 inch capacitive touchscreen. The HTC Desire Z runs android 2.2 froyo and has a 800MHz processor which in my opinion is just as fast as a 1ghz processor. The HTC Desire Z has the htc sense upgrade from htc which lets you cutomize the phone and alot more. The HTC Desire Z has a 5mp camera with flash which isnt the best camera on the market but in my opinion it is a good camera, it also has the ability to shoot 720p hd videos which is a really cool feature. the camera has face detection and there ... more
