Advantages Advantages Awesome Phone - Great Amount Of Technology Crammed Into A Small Space

Disadvantages Disadvantages Battery Life, And FM Radio Isn't Great, No Stylus Provided As Standard

For quite some time now I've been of the opinion "why would I want my mobile phone for anything other than making calls and sending text messages from". However whilst wandering past my local 3 Mobile store the bright lights and array of shiny new Android powered smart phones that my friends had been waving under my nose for quite some time now lured me inside for a browse. Why I Chose the HTC Wildfire S: I had a look around and the HTC Wildfire S seemed to be the one phone that jumped out at me that had the best compromise between tecnology and price. For £25 a month I could get the phone for ... more

Advantages Advantages Cheap, very user friendly, customisable, various additions.

Disadvantages Disadvantages The screen can be unresponsive.

When My Samsung Galaxy decided to pack up mid way through a 24 month contract I decided that rather than splash out on another extremely expensive phone I would look for something that could satisfy what I was looking for whilst being within a decent price range. A few of my close friends had the HTC Wildfire S and it came highly recommended, although I trust their judgement completely I wanted to read a few more reviews to see what the general view of the phone was. The reviews were pretty good and so I decided to go for it. Firstly the cost, I have had a look in various places and it seems ... more

Introduction I have been using the HTC wildfire since December 2011. My husband brought me this phone for Christmas. I have always wanted a HTC branded phone and really liked the phone when I first saw it. The phone has had its advantages and some disadvantages and I will discuss this in detail in this review. The main advantages are the look and feel of the phone. The main disadvantages include the battery stand by time which isn't so good as the battery can be drained within a day of charging it. SMS My previous phone was a blackberry curve so getting used to a touch screen messaging system ... more

HTC WILDFIRE S REVIEW A Bit Of Background The HTC Wildfire arrived in mid 2010 while the world was still overly excited for the HTC Desire. The wildfire was as popular if not more popular than the desire due to its look, design and most of all, the price. It was for most people the first affordable smartphone. There were onle two major things that let the Wildfire down, one of these things was the screen resolution. Basically it was terrible! Another bad point of the wildfire was that its processing speeds were slow which meant not much room for multitasking, gaming etc. But then HTC thought ... more

Advantages Advantages Small, lightweight, fast internet, battery is quickly loaded

Disadvantages Disadvantages Way too little internal memory, sometimes gets stuck

This is my first ''luxury phone'' which I acquired last september.Outside of the phone:The phone is lightweight and feels good in my hands. The four buttons on the bottom are the only buttons necessary: home, menu, back and search though the last one is barely used in my case. The ''hold'' button is sometimes annoying while listening to music while riding my bicycle; when I try to put my phone back into my pocket, the hold button sometimes pushes in by accident and sometimes causes my music to stop playing. The volume buttons are ideal for putting the music louder while on the aforementioned ... more

Advantages Advantages Small, light, quick, great apps, easy to use

Disadvantages Disadvantages Low battery life, a few small issues

Having felt the need to step up in the world of phones I chose to opt for the HTC Wildfire S due to the need for on the go internet and easy operating. Now that I have had my phone for two months I can confidently say that it is a great little phone and one that I would recommend to others! Internet: I find the internet very easy to use and I am impressed by how all pages are scaled to fit the screen and how zooming in and out is very easy. There are numerous apps that enhance the internet experience and using Amazon etc is certainly an option with this phone. I use the web a lot but you must ... more

Advantages Advantages Great music player, camera and social networking connections.

Disadvantages Disadvantages Battery life can be poor.

When my trusty old mobile finally died 6 months ago I was highly confused about which mobile I should buy to replace it. A friend of mine was constantly telling me how great she thought her HTC Desire was. As I was buying a phone out right, and not on contract, I knew I couldn't afford to buy that one. However I was told about the Wildfire, that it was like a mini version of the Desire. So after hours researching, the Wildfire seemed to come up trumps. And after finding it on promotion for £100 I decided to go for it. And I am so happy that I did. I literally could not live with out it!! The ... more

Advantages Advantages Easy to use, great compatibility with apps, good looks, lightweight, terrific online capabilities

Disadvantages Disadvantages Keypad on touch screen is not suitable for people with larger fingers

After not hearing much about HTC phones, I was actually delightfully surprised when I received my new Wildfire S in the post. Being small and lightweight with a large screen, it was ideal for me as I always carry my phone in my pocket and in the past, I have had phones that weighed me down and felt bulky even to the point of discomfort. Aside from this, another feature that appealed to me was the fact it was completely touch screen which meant no grubby looking buttons after a few months. The only downfall I would say is the touch screen keypad because the characters are quite small and not ... more

Advantages Advantages easy to use, nice touch screen, good headphones

Disadvantages Disadvantages Not so good camera

I wanted to buy a smartphone, but poor as I am, considering that I am a student, I most certainly can't afford an expensive phone. So I took a chance and bought HCT Wildfire S, and I am glad I did, because it is a very good phone and very easy to use. I use it for phonecalls, sms, internet and mp3 and in all these areas I am very satisfied. The camera could have been better, but in the right lighting one can take nice photos. But don't expect to use the camera and dark surroundings. I am very satisfied with this phone, and I even encouraged my sister to buy one, which she did after trying mine ... more

Advantages Advantages Uses android, touch screen, navigation works effectively.

Disadvantages Disadvantages Battery life, the screen is a little small

This phone was chosen as it is a cheap pay monthly smart phone that uses an android system. The wildfire s is a very effective phone and the it is very easy to use as the menu system is very clear and straight forward. The vast amount of apps that are available on the android market makes this phone a superb choice. These applications run very smooth and quick. One issue with this phone is the size, it is actually smaller than i expected it to be, however this is probably the reason why this phone is so cheap. I was able to get this phone for only £15 a month where i get unlimited internet ... more
