Halford's... A big range for your automotive and biking needs!! Review with images

AdvantagesGreat selection of products with thousands of lines to choose from. Prodcuts are well made!!

DisadvantagesPricey on a lot of items and often find yourself buying little extras too, come with wallet!!

"Halford's is the shop I've been going to ever since passing my test and got my first beloved car (Renault Clio). As i walk into Halford's i always get excited because I'm a car fanatic and always have been since childhood. There's just so much to do with cars under one roof from car parts and spares such as bulbs, wiper blades and batteries etc, including stuff Ive never even heard of myself ha ha. As I'm quite young and this is my first car i wanted ..." Read review

Recommended For Anyone With A Flat Battery.

AdvantagesCompetitively priced.

DisadvantagesSlow service

"...a few places for quotes. Halfords were competitive, and had the one in stock we needed for our Mitsubishi Spacewagon, and for £5 extra they agreed to fit it. I must admit Halfords is somewhere we very rarely visit. We have a great relationship with a local firm who service the car, now it is too old really to take it back to the dealership where we purchased it from new. When our family was younger we often popped into Halfords, but the days of ..." Read review

One stop shop for for all motoring needs

AdvantagesMost items in stock

DisadvantagesPrices can be beaten elsewhere

"Halfords are a well kown shop for selling a range of goods like In car entertainment, car parts, bikes and anything travel related. My girlfreind and myself decided to have a weekend at the Lake District last year. As per usual, we were unorganised and didn't book a hotel, we just decided to find one when we arrived. This didn't exactly go to plan, every single place we tried was full, as we were living in London at the time, we didn't fancy driving ..." Read review

At Halfords bikes are good value but customer service is not good Review with images

Advantagesgood prices and choice for bikes and related accessories

Disadvantagesshop assistants are clueless and do not give good customer service

"...decided to buy it at Halfords because they had a sale and because their shop is not too far from where I live. I bought a hybrid bicycle, Apollo Highway for £200 and it was normally selling for £350 so a good deal. Apollo Highway is Halfords home-brand and I believe is the second to last cheapest bike they sell. Although the sale went smoothly, the assistants had a limited knowledge of bicycles and they were always in short staff. I was puzzled ..." Read review

A shop for your car and bike problems

AdvantagesLots of products

"...decide to visit my nearest Halfords store. Halfords can normally be found tucked away in an industrial estate. They sell all sorts of goods, such as accessories for cars, motor bikes and pedal bikes. I recently had a problem with one of my rear fog lights on my car, so immediately drove over to Halfords, before it got foggy. I wouldn’t think of going anywhere else, which demonstrates just how popular Halfords has become. On entering the store ..." Read review

Bikehut charged me £90 to ruin my bike.

AdvantagesIf you're tired of living, get a service from Halfords and you'll soon be roadkill.

DisadvantagesExpensive, Appalling service, Amateur staff

"I only went in to get my front gears tweaked. A 5 minute job, that ended up taking 24 hours and costing £30. On leaving the shop, the gears slipped, injuring my shoulder and hurting my groin on a busy road. I could have been killed. Went back to the shop. Took 5 minutes to get served, even though there were no customers. Noone apologised. I was told there was no mechanic in the shop that day. After a call to head office, one miraculously appeared. He ..." Read review

Atrocious , dreadful and horrendous

DisadvantagesCustomer Service, Poor after-sales service, Hostile staff

"My experience with Halfords can be described as atrocious , dreadful and horrendous. The staff are by far the most incompetent and rude individuals that you can come across, my dreadful experience occurred when I had to return an item which had parts missing from the actual package. The staff member was outrageously rude, hostile and aggressive and after countering her nonsense with common sense, she had the audacity to refuse to serve me and requested ..." Read review
