Hansol 710A (17-inch) CRT Monitor

Advantages: A solid monitor that should last well.
Disadvantages: Older model. Depends on required resolution.

...have been superseded by the Hansol 730E, but it seems to have basically the same specifications, so I think it would be fair to apply many of my comments here to this model too. The manufacturer's web page has further specifications and info on the range of their products: http://www.hansol-uk.com **Experience:** I've had this monitor for 3 years and it's served me well, especially considering the amount of time it's turned on (over 6000 hours ...
...When I bought my monitor, hansol were offering a good warranty and replacement scheme. It's well worth comparing the warranties on monitors as they vary a lot. Especially check if the monitor will be collected at no cost to yourself (monitors are heavy and will therefore cost a lot to send back!). **Conclusion** If you want a cheap 17-inch monitor to run at 1024x768 then this (or the Hansol 730E) should do nicely. However, Hansol also do a "Professional" ...

Cool Monitor cool price

Advantages: price-performance
Disadvantages: no driver CD

...But there is a standard Hansol driver in Windows 98, which means the installation works without and the newest driver is fast downloadable from the net. But this little problem doesnīt harm the fun at all. For the Onscreen-Display with the adjustements for contrast, brightness, centering the picture etc. you need a little habituation but itīs understandable. Cool Monitor which shows that 17ī-monitors with low radiation doesnīt have to be expensive. ...

All good so far...

Advantages: Good value for money
Disadvantages: Too deep

...well equiped Peripheral. The Hansol 710A has a fast array of screen changing functions, this includes vertical and horizontal positioning, scaling (both horizontally and veritally geometry (pincushion, parallelogram, trapezoid, pin balance and rotation) Moire control, multiple language controls(English, German, French, Spanish and Portuguese) color control, temp obseration, degauss fucntion, recall and zoom (all easily selectable via the monitors ...
...positioned anywhere on screen). The monitor is a Plug and Play device, so it therefore simple to install, with XP i needed to install no drivers. Also, the brightness and contrast can be quickly and easily changed via the front buttons. Having owned the Monitor for 2 years, i have had no problems with it thus far, although what seems to be appearing on the screen now is horizontal lines across the whole screen when black images appear at any point. ...

My experience with Hansol

Advantages: Good dot pitch
Disadvantages: Awkward to get drivers from site

I bought my Hansol monitor in March. I bought it because it was very reasonably priced compared to others with the same spec. I have once had to send my monitor back to them as it stopped remembering my screen settings. Had a very quick response. Got a brand new monitor sent out the next day which has had no problems. Very simple to use monitor and very stylish. I wanted to get drivers from Hansol.com but I couldn't! I telephoned them up and was ...

Moniter of Choice

Advantages: Good Quality Reasonable priced Moniter
Disadvantages: Is very deep, not suitable for small spaces

An Excellent simple moniter, that is 17 inch format gives a good size screen for all apllications. It is easy to use with 5 simple buttons on the front, one simple for on off apllication the other buttons are for selecting the screen set up. One which activates the menu options 2 for moving forward and backwards through those options and the final button for activating the choicen option, These all alow you to move the screen, change the size and ...
...2 leads from the rear one for the processor the other plugs straight into a socket mean you will require two sockets a small inconvinence. I have had this moniter now for 2 and a half years and never had any problems with it, turning it on several times a day, and also leaving it on for several hours with no screen print left on the moniter to date. I would recomend it to any future buyers ...
