Advantages: Cheap, reasonable design, OK sound Disadvantages: Not for audiophiles, limited power
Ok, I didn't buy these, but they were knocking around the office, so I claimed them. They were standard issue for a while with our Dell PCs (hence the two-tone grey effect). The sit either side of my monitor in the office and give plenty of volume while I am sitting in front of them.
If I crank them up to max, it is too loud to sit at the PC, but there is no obvious distortion. However, they wont have enough power, if you are planning on listening ... ...yourself up as a DJ.
There is an transformer on the moulded plug, and a cable to connect the PC and a second to link to the left speaker to the right. There is a rotary on/off/volume knob on the RH speaker.
If you fancy a bit of modding, the speaker grills are removable, so you can easily give yourself an new colour scheme! ...
