    Advantages Advantages Very addictive,

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Slow loading times,

Harvest moon is a strategy game something along the lines of the Sims series. It is set in Forget-Me-Not Valley, and you must find a wife, raise a family and take control of your father's farm and turn it into a successful business. The game is divided into chapters, each the length of a 'year'. In the first chapter you must find a wife for yourself. You have a choice of four girls, and you must woo them by finding out their interests and presenting them with flowers, or ancient relics, depending on their personality. (Personally I chose the one who would make do with a wild flower and the odd ... more

Advantages Advantages Fun, relaxing, nice and colorful in game environment

Disadvantages Disadvantages Slow loading time, some players may find the gameplay too slow

If you are looking for a game which is relaxing, slow but fun this is the one you ought to get. In general the game is all about farming and day to day life where the character has a task of developing the farm, building a family and be friends with the local towns people. Unlike previous Harvest Moon series, this time the character will grow old and eventually die, so family building is essential element. Good relationship with the locals and neighbors has always been an important thing in real life, it applies also in this game. Giving presents and talking to the towns people will increase ... more

Advantages Advantages Highly adictive and very rewarding. Great story. Be a Farmer!

Disadvantages Disadvantages Not for everyone, slow to start and to get into.

Harvest Moon is a game, in which you play the role of a farmer. Now this may not sound very exciting to some, but to others will be a completely compelling experiance.I do admit that it is a very required taste and will not suit everybody. It really depends if you enjoy controling peoples lives. It is the same as the Sims, where you take a character and mold him.You chose what he does, when he does it-and every decision you make will shape his life. This has a slightly different slant (your on a farm!) but essentialy just a managment sim.So is Harvest Moon your type of game? The game: The game ... more

Advantages Advantages Interesting, Easy to Play

Disadvantages Disadvantages Can get repetitive at times

'A lifetime of farming takes on new meaning in Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life Special Edition. Besides planting crops, raising animals and rebuilding your father's farm, you'll make friends in Forget-Me-Not Valley, find your future bride and hopefully cultivate a happy family!' This is basically what Harvest Moon is all about, starting from scratch with just a few basics and building them up. When you start the game, you will meet a guy called Takakura. He shows you all around the farm, and during the game he's a useful person to speak to if you get stuck. In the beginning of the game ... more

    Advantages Advantages Huge longitvity

Disadvantages Disadvantages Its slow to walk around

I decided to buy this game for PS2 after having played the GBA version (which I recommend). I got much more than I expected with the PS2 games which is really good as there are lots of hidden secrets to uncover. The graphics are very good, but the unfortunately game play is very slow, it takes ages to get from one place to another. There is also the option to marry if you want and have children. There are also ways you can get different pets like raccoons and turtles. I know that there are also two versions of the game, one where you can play as a young man and the other is a young lady ... more
