This game appealled to me for the outset as it was a role-play type game where you become a character and live their life. I've always been a fan of games like this eg the sims and thought that this, coupled with the easy control given by the Wii remotes, would be a great match. After playing Harvest moon on the Nintendo DS (never actually finished it but love playing it) we made a family purchase for the wii so that we could all play and watch together. What a big disappointment, the game is not at all what I was expecting, like the DS game you have to be a boy you can't decide what sex to be which is fine but you would think that the developers would have added some extra options. Don't buy this game expecting to use the ...
...and buttons which makes me wonder why Nintendo made it accessible for the wii. I found it quite difficult to work out what controls to use for certain functions, the instruction booklet is helpful to a point but does not explain how to do some of the most used functions like filling your watering can!
