Advantages: Always one close by, quick turn out, children are welcome and catered for. Disadvantages: Toilets can be quite disturbing, not all dishes taste as good they are described.

Advantages: Great Value, Great Food, "Salad Cart Experience" Disadvantages: Sometimes Fully Booked
...on one street and a Harvester on the other, the restaurants of our time have been wiped out and today taken over by funky bars and lounges offering overpriced food in stuffy atmospheres where you feel bad breathing out, let enough eating. What has replaced them is your Ask's and Pizza Expresses of this world, and yes they may look a bit cooler and yes the staff are certainly a bit dishier, but when you've looking for good food that comes with a good ...

...strange really, I have a harvester a mile away from where I live in Nuneaton and I havent been there for a good 5 years. In the past week however I've been there twice and I'm left wondering why I left it so long in between my previous visits.
-- Location and Surroundings --
The restaurant is situated on the corner of St Nicolas Park Drive and Hinckley road in a very affluent part of the town. The restaurant itself is quite well hidden from ...

...really tended to visit the Harvester in Loughborough until I got invited to two celebrations there in one week! Ever since then I have been back a few times.
There are around 150 Harvester restaurants around I have visited only the one in Loughborough but would gladly use a Harvester elsewhere. They are normally situated near holiday inns or quality inns for some reason. Harvester is a subsidiary and brand name of Mitchell's and Butler's plc. Harvester ...

Advantages: Warm and welcoming, lovely food, free salad Disadvantages: You can not book a table
When you first enter a Harvester You will notice that there are two separate areas, one is the bar and one is the restaurant, you can eat in both of these places but can only smoke in the bar, however if you eat in the restaurant they are happy to let you go to the bar for a cigarette then return to your table.
THE SETTING
Harvesters restaurants have a country feel to them they have wooden beams and farm like fixtures, for example if you look ...

Advantages: Great food, great service, great for families Disadvantages: none
I love the Harvester restaurants so I do tend to go on a regular basis!
Here is my review on the Harvester restaurant in Eastleigh, Hampshire.
THE CAR PARK
I have to admit that this car park isn't huge and it's on a really weird slope, although there are some more parking spaces in the Travelodge car park which is right next to the restaurant. We have never actually had a problem with finding a space but then we do tend to go early as we have ...

Advantages: Honest, wholesome, value-for-money food. Child friendly. Disadvantages: Some restaurants have very low standards. Not especially couple-friendly.
...odd mistake, but for some Harvester restaurants, 'mistakes' seem to be the norm.
* When your drinks arrive half an hour after ordering them, AFTER your main meals, and even then they are wrong/missing, that's not acceptable.
* We had a meal where the waitress actually gave us a check-back, only to be told for the second time that that my nan's meal still hadn't materialised from the kitchen (no explanation given).
* The quality of the food is ...

...room for pudding.
Harvester meals are based on chargrilled meals, such as chicken spitroast (their speciality), sausages, corn, ribs, steak, burgers, etc. They also do a vegetarian selection (although small), fish, pasta etc.
I normally go for chicken if I don't have the meal for two. Prices are around £7 - £11 for each main meal, which I think is good value.
They also offer a lunchtime offer for £4.99. A choice of soup and main meal, or ...

Advantages: Free unlimited salad, a good family pub. Disadvantages: Can get very busy at weekend's, but this is the same for alot of places.
I'd never heard of the Harvester chain before until I came across a review online. Then nearby, a pub that was originally Brewer's Fayre closed down, and was later re-opened as a Harvester Pub & Grill meaning I could now try a Harvester Pub.
What is Harvester?
Harvester Pub & Grill restaurants are a family run chain and they have over 160 outlets in the UK. They bought a large number of Brewer's Fayres and Beefeaters, which explains why ...

Advantages: Great food & great service Disadvantages: Cant book
I always enjoy going out to dinner. It means no-one at home has to cook and everyone can have what they want instead of cooking one thing for everyone. It was Sunday evening and no-one could be bothered to cook. We had a busy day as we had a Christening to go to and then the after party so we decided to go to the Harvester. I always enjoy the Harvester. I can't remember a time where I have had bad food or the service was bad. Everything has always ...

The Harvester i normally go to is the Old Mill, Pencoed, South Wales. I can only really go by my experience of this particular Harvester, however, theyre all the same!

...the family at our local Harvester Restaurant.
I hadn't been to the Harvester for years and was really looking forward to it and on the whole I wasn't too disappointed.
We booked our table for 6.30pm and were seated within minutes of arriving.
What we didn’t realise at this point was that they do an Early Bird Menu – this means that orders taken between 5pm and 6.30pm are entitled to a third off the bill.
Although our table had been booked ...

...i decided to go to harvester as it was close by and therefore pretty convenient. It was a Sunday evening and so we thought there would be available tables - wrong! It was packed and we had to wait in the bar.
AMBIENCE-
When we were finally called to our table we were dissappointed to see it was awkwardly placed opposite a wall (great view) and next to 2 huge parties with lots of noisy kids. Our tableware consisted of a paper napkin each and knife ...

Advantages: Friendly waitresses Disadvantages: very poor service, long wait for food that wasnt worth waiting for
Me and my husband went to The Talbot for a meal a few months ago. We asked for a table for two and were told to take a seat and they would call us as soon as a table was free. We bought a drink sat down and waited... and waited... and waited, for over an hour. By this time i was thinking we should have booked. I asked how long we were having to wait for this table and that perhaps we should have booked as they were so busy, i was told no we dont take ...
