Hi, I decided to get this network adapter becuase I was having signal problems with my linksys adapter. I found my wireless constantly timing out with low 24% signal. So I decided to get this... It is very easy to install simply plug in the USB, install software and go.
Your standard wireless network adapter is about 3Dbi, this however is a massive 8Dbi and can also be pointed in the direction of your access point for even better reception, the software is also easy to use scanning for all near-by networks both passworded and un-passworded. Overall I would say the distance is about 1000Ft (going through walls) 2000Ft (open area) so great for scanning for wireless networks, Over All 9/10. ...
