Advantages Gets rid of dandruff. Leaves hair feeling soft and clean.
Disadvantages Can't get rid of dandruff permenantly..but nothing can!

Alright, so shampoo is not the most interesting of subjects but, for most of us, it is something we have to use if we want clean hair. I also have to admit that at various points in my life I have suffered from dandruff. We can all identify with that dreadful moment when we are out on the town and we think we look really great….but that smart black jacket we are wearing shows off our awful secret. After my recent part-success with Head & Shoulders Citrus Fresh, i decided to route out the free trial sized bottle of Head & Shoulders Soothing for Dry Scalp, which i had recieved a few months earlier. I had not used any of this when i got it, because i don't actually have dandruff, and at the time, did not have dry scalp either, so i didn't think it would be worth using on my hair. But now i'd had a half-success with another Head & Shoulders shampoo, and had developed a dry, itchy scalp, i felt it was time to give it a go. Advantages Nice smell with a easy to get lather and it will do what it says
Disadvantages it makes your hair very soft so it is hard to style

I have always had a battle with dry scalp and was losing. The last few weeks, it was getting out of control and hard to conceal. It was such a problem that I had to find a good weapon against it and fast. I had tried many different products and not any working well enough. I had never actually never given any notice to any products that say it is for dry scalp. It was a pretty stressful time for me, the winter of 2001. I'd been made redundant from a job I'd loved at the end of October, even worse, my ex-employer basically had me over a barrel (metaphorically speaking, of course, and for reasons that I won't go into in a shampoo opinion, but through no fault of my own, honest!) Advantages It leaves my head dandruff free, soft and shiny.
Disadvantages I cant think of any.

I like to look after my hair as much as I can, I only use the best products and I make sure they are right for my hair. My brother enjoys working with hair, he is always playing with his and likes the feel of it when it has just been washed, this is something that I agree with as I like the feel of it when I have just washed my hair, it is soft and shiny although, unlike my brother I have fairly short hair. I have now been using Head & Shoulders now for a good few years and I would not swap it for the world. I have used other 'top brands' of shampoo before but they never seemed to do the job I ... more

Just washed my hair. Hey, I like to wash it every couple of months or so...whether it needs it or not. I used an anti-dandruff shampoo called Head and Shoulders Dry Scalp. Strange really, as I neither have a dry scalp nor suffer unduly from dandruff. Still, the way I see it, although I could be wrong, shampoo is just soap for washing your hair and all those hydroplipomenes and styralacetatethingummyjigs are just marketing ploys. So, if I doubt the validity of their claims, and even if it lived up to said claims, I don't really need it, why in the name of flaky, snowy scalps, would I use the ... more

Sorry about the title I know it’s corny but that’s the song I think of whenever I hear Head and Shoulders mentioned. That’s a good thing because not very many shampoos make me want to sing about it! Now I've never had silky-smooth shining locks but a year or so back my head went haywire. My hair went all coarse and dry and my scalp came down in dusty showers every time I brushed my hair. This didn't make me very happy- I already had spots and a big nose, the last thing I needed was dandruff. I saw the adverts for Head and Shoulders on tele and thought I'd give it a try. Heck, if Courtney Cox uses it then it's the right product for me. Like most people I like to try before I buy so as the Head and Shoulders had been advertised in one of my favourite magazines as the top shampoo I thought it was worth a try. I would have been angry if I had paid for this product and even though I didn't I was itching (being the most appropriate word) to tell you about it! Being mixed raced I have to use shampoos that state they are for dry/damaged hair. This shampoo claims "Our conditioning formula hydrates dry, frizzy hair to give you a smooth and silky result".
