Heighley Gate have just opened a massive Phase 1 of their extension to the existing site. There are a lot more products and because they have more buildings available for indoor housing it means there are more departments. The Garden Centre is situated on the A697 Wooler to Coldstream road North of Morpeth and opening hours are :- 9a.m. - 5.30 p.m. Mon - Fri. in Summer closing at 5p.m. in Winter. Heighley Gate Garden Centre lies just to the north of Morpeth in Northumberland. Its a very popular centre and often gets full in the summer months although they have extended the car park. There are 2 main parts to the centre - the first is mainly outdoor with a large range of plants, greenhouses, sheds, paving slabs, gravel etc. I bought some fruit trees this year and was surprised at the range & even found some hazlenut trees which I've long wanted ...
...tools, garden furniture, seeds etc as well as a pet shop, fruit & veg stall. Further inside is an area selling many hobby crafts, books and a variety of unusual gifts for all ages. Beside this area is the cafe and we always call here for a snack. The food is good and sandwiches are well filled.
