Advantages: they do all the work for you Disadvantages: None
...car delivered to my door. Helphire said they would also help me reclaim all of my out of pocket expenses.
What's the catch?
They were so helpful I did start to wonder what they were going to get from this deal and what it would really cost me. They confirmed this over the phone; the only cost to me was £10, that was it. This was a legal insurance policy, which could be used if they lost the claim. Helphire only deal with 'no fault' accidents and ...

Advantages: Great company, Disadvantages: Only for NON-fault accidents
...great pleasure of working for Helphire for 16 months - I left there about 9 months ago and parted on really good terms. I wanted to share with you what Helphire are all about, as I was greatly impressed by the work that they do.
Helphire is an accident management company that dealt with assisting drivers who had been involved in an accident that is no fault of their own. These services include:
- a hire car for the duration of repairs, or if ...

Advantages: Provide "free" car Disadvantages: may not recover costs
Helphire have certainly had to improve their service and product recently as they were caught out and had to wait for a lot of claims being settled and negotiations to take place with the big insurers. Since December 2000 they joined the ABI GTA as 1st Tier Subscribers which means that they have a set rate to charge and rules and procedures to follow. If they do not follow them they can be kicked off the scheme and insurers will not pay the costs. ...

AVOID AT ALL COSTS
They were going to charge an extortionate amount to the other insurance company for a hire car and when I phoned the other insurance company direct they said they had alot of problems with helphire and they probably wouldn't have paid them for that (leaving me to pay) I dealt with the other persons insurance company direct, they had a hire car with me promptly. I even dealt with the recovery of my vehicle myself and had it taken to a repairer that I knew was good, helphire wanted to take my car 100 miles away to an unknown repairer. I pay my insurance company so see no reason why I should pay this lot another £10 for nothing. AVOID< AVOID< AVOID

==NO HELPHIRE!==
What a completely unproffessional company. First, they kept losing my details then they took 4 days to give me a car after £15 of phonecalls! They gave me the details of a local garage who wouldn't collect my car that wouldn't start so the insurane company put me in touch with a garage that would. I then received several phonecalls from rude Ian at 'Unhelpfuhire' telling me that the claim wasn't progressing quickly enough and that I was costing them money!!!
Whilst I was on holiday they terminated the hire agreement due to me costing them too much money. The phonecall I made previously informing them of my car's progress at the garage was not put on 'the system'. AVOID THEM.

Advantages: staff initially appear to be helpful Disadvantages: 'customer service' non existent if any problems, it seems that they couldn't care less.
...be put in contact with helphire - my advice? AVOID! they are all very nice at the start, but I soon discovered that they were actually pretty clueless and when things didn't work out quite as they had promised, they don't want to know, never return calls and leave you completely in the lurch. If all goes well, I am sure that (like most companies) they are ok, if it doesn't, they are a nightmare, their 'customer service' is non-existent if there is ...
