    Advantages Advantages Door to door promised. Should have been fully trackable online.

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Desperately slow. Response to complaints very slow. Driver didn't attempt delivery when he said.

    I too thought that MyHermes was a new company, taking advantage of the postal strike to bring us a new service - wrong! I decided to send a CD as a present. Filled in everything online, paid with Paypal, received the confirmation email saying the package would be collected on the Thursday - wrong. Waited, and no sign of anyone. Sent an email, no response, and thought that perhaps Friday would be the day - wrong again. Saturday and I still have the package - so I fired off another irritated email.     where do i start? These guys are not worthy of a 1 star rating! had a parcel shipped over a week ago from Germany from BMW dealership. They assured me Hermes were good after i expressed concern about the poor level of service experienced from them before. 1 week on and still no delivery to my business address. We have fedex, UPS, DHL and the like delivering parcels to us everyday and yet Hermes have not managed to get a parcel to us. Have since found they have been sitting on my parcel for the last 3 days, generating false excuses for not delivering to me: 1) premises not found; 2) item too ... more

    I ordered a laptop from Tesco Direct, who uses Hermes as the courier for some things. I thought - it will be fine, Tesco is a successful, reliable company (I also work for them). I selected Express Delivery which was for the next day. I waited in my house ALL day for the delivery. It didn't come, so I was very disappointed. Next day, I did some research on Hermes - all of the reviews are dreadful, so I was really concerned. I phoned Tesco Direct, who told me my laptop had gone 'missing' after being dispatched from Tesco. Unfortunately the laptop has gone out of stock again, so I must wait ... more

    As other reviewer has stated, no telephone or any kind of contact is no good. I got my dress that I had ordered in good enough time, no problems there. But I didn't like it and a arranged a return. Well this turned out to be a month long headache for me. I had a collection date, which came and went with no courier appearing, nothing worse than spending your day off waiting for a delivery/uplift that is a no show.     Advantages Advantages The delivery charge was reasonable but since they didn't actually deliver it's not an advantage

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Courier seems to have nicked my parcel, very hard to contact customer services, no help whatsoever

    How is it possible to lose a tracked parcel? I don't know and neither do Hermes, apparently. The tracking shows it was delivered on 24th December, but I was in all day and nobody called or left a card. I have spent around three hours - on an 0871 number, no less, which will cost me an absolute fortune! - to Hermes trying to locate my parcel. Each time the call centre operative has assured me they will chase it up and call me back but they never do. Two queries using the online contact form (31st december and 5th January) have gone completely unanswered. Attempts to contact the local courier ... more

    I've ordered online from several shops who use this courier service in the past....every time I've waited 2 weeks at the very minimum to receive my order. I only now use these companies if I find a good price on something I'm willing to wait for. For the most part, however, I will not purchase from a company who use Hermes as a courier. Their service is incredibly slow. Often, when I track an order, there will be several days between 'Order Generated' and 'Hub Sorter Receipt Scan', then several more until the order reaches 'Processed at Depot'.     I shop regularly using mail order companies and the main one that I use employs Hermes for their deliveries. I always choose the next day delivery option so that I can receive my goods quicker. Unfortunately, I have found Hermes to be as much use as an inflatable dartboard. With each order that I have placed, my items have been delivered 3-4 days after the day that the delivery was due. There is never an apology and despite numerous complains to the company that employ them, it never gets any better.     I employed this company to deliver a basin to a client, the basin weighed 12 kilos, so i paid as requested, the " delivery driver" that turned up was an older lady in a car! unfortunately a member of my staff mistook this lady for a customer and loaded the basin into the back seat of the car( the so called "delivery driver" couldnt manage it!) A few days later we had a call from our client to say the courier company had phoned to say that they couldnt deliver the basin as it was too heavy for the "driver" to lift and in any case they had broken it! they didnt have the courtesy to inform me of ... more

    I was suckered into the great looking advert on ebay when the postal strikes were happening. Myhermes sounded like a dream... I could pack my parcel and leave it outside for them to collect the next day and wouldn't even have to go to the post office. How wrong was I. It was all going perfectly well for a while. They collected on time and delivered in fairly good time too. However when they dropped a parcel of mine (an xbox 360) and broke it, it all went pear shaped. This was not the first bashed parcel.     I ordered something online and when I tract the parcel it says "not delievered, address query" The problem is there is no contact detail at all. I was even shown this message on their website: "We apologise, but are unable to deal directly with you regarding your parcel enquiry. Please contact the company with whom you placed your order." How can a delievery service don't let people contact them! I shop online very offen and I've never seen a delievery compny like this. I know there is a little problem with my address.
