Advantages Advantages Food you can spell with.

    Disadvantages Disadvantages No nutritional value.

Over the years there have been quite a few, often fairly disparate, things that I've proposed to you, loveliest of Ciaosters, as being a source of joy and wonderment. The absolute zenith of this catalogue of all things marvellous is the retail behemoth that is Argos. On this matter I will brook no interference. Argos is the very greatest thing that mankind has ever accomplished. Better, and more useful, than fire, the wheel and the internal combustion engine (that said, interestingly, those are three things that you can't actually buy in Argos. No matter though: they're all overrated anyway) ... more

Advantages Advantages Tstes great, easy to cook, low in calories

Disadvantages Disadvantages You may get sprayed when you open the tin

We've been eating this stuff in our house for years, since my brother and me were very little. We used to love for mum to serve this up for us for our tea when we got back from school, and we'd have bets as to what she'd serve it up with. Sometimes it would be good old fish fingers or burgers, other times it'd be with sausages or just on toast. Advantages Advantages Fun food for your children

Disadvantages Disadvantages rude words can be made out of the letters

I bought a tin of Alphabetti spaghetti as a store cupboard stand by for when I get a visit from the grandchildren. I served it to them when I had an unexpected visit from them at meal time last weekend. Adrian enjoyed his spaghetti and did comment that some of it was the same shapes as the letters in his name. Alphabetti spaghetti was first available from Heinz in 1940 and then in 1990 Heinz decided to stop producing it. In 2005 Heinz brought back this product. I am not sure if the ingredients are the same. They looked and tasted the same to the ones I used to eat in the 1960’s. Sadly I threw ... more

Advantages Advantages Rich and tasty, with added vitamins and wholegrains

Disadvantages Disadvantages Could be expensive if not on offer

Alphabetti Spaghetti has long been a store cupboard staple for those of us with children. In fact, I vividly remember being served up Alphabetti on toast for lunch at my Nan's house when I was very small. My 2.5 year old daughter, like most other toddlers, loves spaghetti and particular those in shapes. She will NOT eat own brand spaghetti - believe me, we have tried them all! Alphabetti is great for toddlers, as it holds it shape really well and is easier to pick up on a spoon when you aren't very experienced at it, than some other spaghetti - notably Hoops. Alphabetti has the distinctive ... more
