...have to be a huge High school musical fan to buy this or the person your buying for must be. You must have really seen both films and know some of the songs and characters. This game was brought for my daughter for Christmas, i personally would not have gone out and brought it myself because before Christmas i thought it was over priced at £39.99 - £49.99 as it was retailing for. Its currently at £29.99 on game which would have been a better price ... ...main disappointments is that the high school musical stars don't actually sing the songs in the game, they are sung good but i would have preferred the originals singing them.
So overall i would give this game 6 out of 10. Its fun but will lose its attraction very soon and is overpriced, also graphics are not what i call good for a wii game. ...

Advantages: great concept Disadvantages: unfortunately high school musical
Not being a high school musical fan i reluctantly played this game at a family members and i was right to be scepitical as this not a good game purely because of the High School Musical theme. The concept of the game is fantastic, If only it had various song's from the years and was not based on the film i think i would have enjoyed this a lot more.
This game allows you to interact with the movie's characters for the first time on a gaming console. ... ...The game starts with songs High School Musical, but as you improve through the game you unlock songs from High School Musical 2.
This game features three play modes, Story, Party and Quickplay.
You can also use the Wii remote and the Nunchuk to move to the beat to accompany the singers if you are shy of singing. It retails around the £40 mark but bear in mind this comes with the microphone too, so it is not that overpriced.

Advantages: There is a quit button, thats it. Disadvantages: Its High school musical: need i say more, no online play, kills everyone else
...is not a musical; it's high fool's ridicule.
The game itself is based litterally on shouting down a mic and a machine telling you you sing well. This machine clearly has no ears. For this noise pollution you earn points to then buy, new places to sing in. It's exactly the same places but with different lighting! And new characters, which all sound exactly the same, and even look the same, hell the white guy's got an Afro! Sreiously, its a point ... ...lighting.
To conclude the High School Musical franchise has been absolutley drained of all money making potentional and the publishers are now dregging the body for the remains. This game has been the product of that. The price is outrageous for something like that and frankly its a chore to play or even listen to.

...love a good sing-along to High School musical every now and then! The game has a good range of songs - with all of the songs featured in the first two High School Musical films and a couple of extra songs, not included in the films. Advantages: Comes with a lyrics book for those not sure of the words. Disadvantages: Menu's are difficult for a child to navigate.
...year old daughter who worships High School Musical and on first impressions I was quite impressed. It was good value for money seeing as it came with a microphone and lyrics book.
When playing the game I was dissapointed that the menu's are difficult for a child to vavigate as it is aimed at children.
Once the game has been set up and game play begin's it then runs itself and no adult help is needed.

...people who have enjoyed watching high school muscial 1 and 2. all the songs are on this game. but you have to sing the songs from the 1st film to unlock the second ones. it is very enjoyable game for all the family, as you can have competions. the only problem to this game is that when you choose your character that you would like to be, then that is the character that sings the songs, this is a little strange if you are used to the acutal characters ...
