It was a lovely winter day when I first visited the Hobbycraft in Woking. This is a very nice store where you can find loads of treasures to your craft works. The store in Woking is in the Lion Retail Park which accommodates some other DIY, interior design and household appliance stores. There...

Hobbycraft shops are usually a first point of call for many inexperienced crafters. As the shops are more typical of a department store, and usually located in retail parks or high streets. The stores cover many a different type of hobby, which is good for most people, but at the same time as...

"If you're crafty and you know it and you really want to show it. If you're crafty and you know it, Hobbycraft". Seen the TV ad for Hobbycraft? The jingle grates, like all of them do, but it kind of sums up who the art and craft supplier are selling to - crafty people. No, not politicians but...

I have just had my first visit to the Southampton Hobbycraft store. I had seen the advertisements in our local paper and I thought that it definitely deserved a visit. My girls and I are always painting and drawing. The Southampton store is situated next to Haskins Garden Centre, Gaters Hill...

My sister in law recently advised me that she would like me to decorate some candles for her for Christmas present this year - I am not in the least bit artistic and didn't have a clue where to even start so I decided to visit my local Hobbycraft Store which is in Southampton to see whether I...

cheap, every craft under the sun

I always spend too much when I go in

You can find it all at this store. If you are looking for something in the slightest bit crafty then this is the place to be - and it's all under one roof. My local HobbyCraft store is up on the Central Six Retail Park in Coventry City Centre. It has been open for between 2 and 3 years now. All...

Great Shop

I am quite a craft loving person anyway so now that I am getting married I have decided to make all of my decorations and invitations. My first stop for this kind of stuff is always hobbycraft as it is absolutely fantastic. It is a craft paradise and I am not sure there are many people which...

great for all craft supplies

could be more organised

I've always enjoyed doing all sorts of crafts - be it knitting, sewing, cross stitch and most lately scrapbooking and card making. Although there are lots of places where you can buy craft supplies, one retailer seems to stand head and shoulders above the rest and that is Hobbycraft. If you are...

This shop should come with a warning that there is a good chance that if you just pop into this shop for one item you will leave with a new hobby. I did. HobbyCraft was launched by Warren Haskins, chairman of the well-known Haskins Garden Centre Group. Their shops have 32,000 arts and crafts...

Hobbycraft is one of those shops that if you're like me and a crafter it's easy to spend all day in when you first come across the place. It's like a giant supermarket of craft supplies really with different isles dedicated to different types of crafting. At first glance, the place sells...

Since I was a child I have enjoyed being creative through various crafts. For a number of years now I've been very keen on counted cross stitch and recently I've also started rubber stamping. For me a fabulous way of passing time is to be creating something original. My house and those of my...

Great selection, good display

Jaw dropping prices

I am basing this review on the two stores I have visited, The one in Reading and the one between Ferndown and Bournemouth. There is a lot to see in store and most indoor crafts are catered for. There are supplied for painting, oils, watercolour and acrylics, canvasses, papers, and any of the...

I had to visit Hobbycraft for a rather extensive purchase and being a needlework designer, I decided for speed to visit Hobbycraft in Reading. And because of that I think it is. I had to purchase a few hundred skeins of embroidery threads. However as I said this is a review about their customer...

I live in Plymouth Devon and was delighted when Hobbycraft opened in Plymouth based at Woolworths it open late in 2008, Yes you guessed it shut with the closure of Woolworth the end of 2008. We were sad to see the end of and era and couldn't believe that Hobbycraft went to. Is there any likelihood of Hobbycraft moving else where in the city there are lots of empty shops in the area. Whenever We were in buying buying crafts the shop was always busy and the staff were so helpful. Please please Rreturn to our city we have waited years for this. Just one of many happy shopper Marie
