Bargains For Your Home

Advantages: Can save you money on your normal shop
Disadvantages: You pick things up you wouldn't normally. Items change regularly.

...I've picked up cheaply from Home Bargains, so I thought why not do a review on the shop itself? Home Bargains is owned by a company called TJ Morris Ltd and the stores are currently popping up all over the country. I am lucky to have 2 different stores nearby which stock some of the same stuff and some different, so it does go to show that some different products are available at different stores. ==What things do they sell?== You can pick up loads ...
...Home Bargains. It is not like a pound shop, which are normally just full of tat and the odd bargain. Home Bargains sell products that you would find in your local supermarket, just at a much lower price. ===Health and Beauty=== In my most local store, the first aisle that come across after the main offers in store is the health and beauty one. Here you can find a wide range of products which include: * Bath - Radox, Palmolive and Dove to name ...

Bargain Hunting Made Easy Under One Roof

Advantages: They do almost everything at really fantastic prices
Disadvantages: Only a limited numbers of stores in the UK

...and like a bargain then Home Bargains is the store for you! I discovered it after a new retail park opened in town, it had the usual suspects - Next, Boots, Peacocks, TK Maxx and a shop I hadn't seen before Home Bargains. I wondered what kind of stuff they sold and went for a look around, that was the day I became hooked. For those who have never been in a Home Bargains shop they are run by the T J Morris chain. Tom Morris founded T J Morris Ltd ...
...there and still get my Home Bargain fix! You can find out more information on the locations of their stores at the T J Morris Website http://www.tjmorris.co.uk/ If you ever happen to see one of their stores on your travels make sure you pop in because I am sure you will find something in there that takes your fancy! They do seem to have a quickly changing range of products and things sell out pretty quickly so if you see something you really like ...

...=== My Love of Home Bargains === It all started when I found a store in Caerphilly Wales, and used to pick up my Cat food from there as it was much cheaper than the supermarkets. Then when I moved to Bridgend They had just opened a new one in the town centre. Having just had a baby I started to try out allot more things in order to save more money! And I have! They have top brands at really low prices compared to the supermarket. The only problem ...

Get A Bargain For Your Home!

Advantages: Quite A Few Good Bargains
Disadvantages: Quick Turn Around Of Stock, Long Checkout Queues

...and one of these is Home Bargains. There has been a Home Bargains Store in Sheffield where I live for a couple of years now, but it is only recently when the subject came up during a conversation with my Auntie in Blackpool that I realised they were part of a nation-wide chain. THE BACKGROUND The UK's first Home Bargains Store was opened at Old Street in Liverpool in the early 1970's. This Store was the dream of a local man called Tom Morris. ...
...original Store in Liverpool other Home Bargains soon began to appear in the North West of England and today there are over 100 Stores employing 2,500 staff, but the story does not stop there. Home Bargains are currently one of the fastest growing chain of Shops in Britain and their plans are ambitious to say the least. The company fully intends to continue with its rapid expansion plans across the UK and they are intending opening a further 400 Stores ...

My kind of shop!

Advantages: Bargains a plenty!!
Disadvantages: Run out of particular lines quickly

When Home Bargains first opened in my local town... well, to be honest I didn't really notice it. Actually, that's not quite right. I did notice it. Well, who wouldn't with it's bright red frontage! But I didn't really take any notice of it. I was too busy running around the rest of the town - dragging my three young children kicking and screaming all the way - to take any interest in this new (and I have to say) UN-impressive looking shop. - It ...
...to the best thing about Home Bargains. The prices! They're simply fantastic!! Now, Home Bargains isn't like many of those other cheap shops, like for instance 'the Pound Shop', where you can buy cheap products for cheap prices. Fine if that's what you're after! But, in Home Bargains you can buy general products - named, BRANDED products - for a price that's... well, at the very worst - a little under RRP and at the very best - a mere fraction of ...

I AM A HBA.

Advantages: LOW LOW LOW PRICED GOODIES
Disadvantages: YOU WILL BECOME ADDICTED TO BARGAIN HUNTING

...going back for more. HOME BARGAINS is the outlet in question, and the stores are part of TJ Morris Ltd., who also ran the online halfpriceorless.com, until it closed its ‘doors’ earlier this year (possibly to be reopened early in 2003). TJ Morris Limited is based in Prescott, Merseyside, and this is where you will find the greatest concentration of shops. The Home Bargains stores offer a wide range of goods, from shampoo, shower gels, ...
...food, and drink, and often have a large stock of kids toys as well. The stock changes on a regular basis, so it is worth visiting often if you want to snap up the real bargains. The shop which I visit in Heanor, Derbyshire receives a delivery of goods every weekday, and this makes me want to pop in once or twice a week, just incase I miss out on something…sad I know! The Heanor store is situated across the road from Tesco in a new development ...

Take home a bargain today!

Advantages: lots of bargains to be had!
Disadvantages: stuff sells out quickly

...out of nowhere in my home town of Kettering. As ususal I thought they would probably selling a load of old rubbish and would probably close down within a few months but I was wrong. It wasn't really on my list of places to visit until my friends started telling me the stuff she had picked up in there and I will admit it sounded fantastic! ...cheap rubbish - Thats where Home Bargains is different. Yes the stuff is cheap and its also branded. Often at least half the RRP. Having visited other cheap shops in the past and stocked up on food and stuff I have been disappointed to find that it has a very short sell by date but all the stuff in Home Bargains has a date as long as you would expect to find in any other supermarket. OK here are some examples of stuff I have bought recently so you ...

Your Wallet Will Love You...

Advantages: Excellent value, Good quality branded products, Convenient locations
Disadvantages: Gets very busy - long queues

INTRODUCTION My nearest Home Bargains is in St.Annes which is quite near to Blackpool. Their used to be a shop called HALFPRICEORLESS.COM in the centre of Blackpool, however this closed due to the refurbishment of the shopping centre there. Home Bargains is a discount retailer with fantastic prices throughout. They sell many great lines such as everyday products and one-offs at fantastic prices!! HISTORY Home Bargains is owned by TJ Morris which ...
...which was later changed to HOME BARGAINS. The HALFPRICEORLESS.COM venture was operated in the early 00s. HALFPRICEORLESS.COM was a website, which did exactly what it said on the tin! It sold branded goods at half the recommended retail price; they also opened stores under this name for a short while on the high street, in the form of two branches in Blackpool and Lancaster. This website was shut down in 2001. However, they continued to open stores ...

Home Bargains! Home James, with the bargains!

Advantages: Bargains for the home. Lots of them
Disadvantages: None, really

Home Bargains. Very rarely has a name for a shop proved so apposite! It is filled with bargains for the home. So, go there and buy them. That's the review then! Oh. You want more? Very well, I will continue! I first came across my nearest branch of Home Bargains whilst visiting Pets at Home for a large sack of wood-based cat litter and some cockatiel food. (Actually, Pets at Home... isn't that a rather strange name for a shop? I mean, where else ...
...BEER that they sell at home Bargains. Yes, that's right, BEER! Imported Continental lagers and real ales. I think I was in danger of dislocating my jaw when I saw the prices. ! Bottles of Bass Ale at 49 pence each. These bottles were well within their sell by date. I think they were intended for export to the USA, as they had some form of warning from someone called the Surgeon General. Basically the message ran: "Warning, the Surgeon General has ...

WAHEY! HOME BARGAINS RULES!

Advantages: A full trolly costs you a fiver...
Disadvantages: ...and goes out of date the next week

...attractive shop in town is Home Bargains. Bright red signs all over the place and horrible broken baskets and trollies. Not as bad as Kwiksave but getting there! The products are stored either in big stainless steel baskets or shoved onto shelves in a random order. It's sometimes difficult to find the prices of things too as some things are just shoved anywhere where they will fit. The only organised bit of Home Bargains is the fact that the aisles ...
...good the prices are in Home Bargains. They practically give their stuff away! There's hair products which cost about 9p, drinks for the same price and household goods are so cheap you'll struggle to find anything priced over a pound. One annoying thing is that everything has an awkward price, prices such as 14p, 9p etc have surely had their day by now. Just add the penny and make it 10p for god's sake! They must use a lot of 1ps for people's change ...
