Homecall -- Pathetic Customer Service at a Price!

Advantages: Sounds good on paper, but reality is FAR different
Disadvantages: Extremely Atrocious Customer Service

PHONE HOME ET, BUT DON'T USE HOME CALL

Home call is from the people of phones 4 U, the mobile phone company, and has been since 1987: They claim to sell 26 phones a minute, and have an annual turnover of £1 billion (as a group), so one could assume they are trust worthy. Homecall is excellent - when it is working.

Advantages: Good speed, most landline calls free, have greatly reduced my telephone costs, technical support answers quickly.
Disadvantages: Technical support staff not always that competent. Emails not getting through.

HOMECALL BROADBAND - A SPEED THROTTLED DISASTER

Disadvantages: Extremely limited "Unlimited Broadband"

They block your ports so that you cannot use file sharing software, So if you want to piss them off just watch a WebTV channel instead! Homecall change T&Cs and policies that effect your internet useage without telling you! Homecall are breaking the law by - 1) Sale of Goods & Services Act 1982 - The service is "not fit for purpose" i.e. it's not unlimited ...

Advantages: Most staff are polite when you talk to them

The broadband service provided by Homecall is awful. I frequently suffer from no connection or a very slow connection and when I can connect it usually disconnects after 20 minutes. My next door neighbour has BT as a supplier with no problems so it is not my distance from the exchange which is an issue. Pipex Homecall - lack of support and customer care

My experince from the start was bad (perhaps I should have cancelled the contract then!) and lately performance has been very slow with periods when Email connection failed. easy setup that was when the problems started i havent got a pc i only use a ps3 so i dont download anything just online gaming and a bit of shopping all of a sudden i cant get on games networks at night as i have downloaded over 1gb between 5-11 i was told by them wich puts me in the "sin bin" and they slow me down so i cant game for the rest of the week being as the main purpose was online gaming im at a loss as to what to do with it now they may as well have the modem back an isp that doesnt want to supply internet avoid at all costs. ...
