Advantages Advantages Removes burnt food, cleans well, leaves a nice shine. Little goes a long way.

    Disadvantages Disadvantages None for me.

I bought a new ceramic hob a few years ago and did I not know what to use to clean it well enough and I didn’t want to scratch it and ruin it. on it, my brother in law advised me to buy this product. He told me it cleaned his hob really well and it was a good cleaner which he recommended I try for cleaning my hob. So I bought it and have been buying it ever since. It comes in a brightly coloured orange plastic bottle which has a flip back lid. The lid can be easily opened and then snapped closed again after using the product. The base of the bottle is quite sturdy and so it easily sits on my ... more

***Why Hob Brite*** I hate to admit but when I got my new ceramic hob I was a bit intimated by all the instructions included especially the cleaning instructions, I mean why do the instructions always say lather with 'suitable' detergents without explaining whats suitable? Luckily my mother-in-law has a similar hob so she recommended 'Hob Brite'. Application: The directions are clearly stated on the label and are very easy to follow: - Shake well before use - Make sure your hob is off and cool - Apply cleaner with a paper towel/soft cloth - Rub the glass lightly - Rinse residue- Dry the hob ... more

In our family on a Sunday my Dad prepares the dinner, my Mam cooks the dinner and myself and my little family are responsible for cleaning up afterwards. My Mam and Dad built a new house and had decided in their wisdom to get a ceramic hob as they had never had one before and had always fancied one. The first Sunday we used the hob we realised it was not as easy as it looked, the hobs kept boiling over no matter how much they were turned down and by the end of it we had burnt water, gravy and veg all on the hob top. Luckily my Mam had heard that a ceramic hob wasn't the easiest od hobs to ... more

Disadvantages Disadvantages Lid top does not always stay down if residue is left around opening

When we got our new oven last march it was the first oven we had with a ceramic hob. This presented the problem of cleaning it. A friend had already suggested using Hob Brite, after saying it was what she used (and also showing me how well it bought up her oven!) Anyhow, when we took delivery of said oven, in with the instruction manual was a mini sample of Hob Brite. Hob Brite comes in a bright orange plastic bottle with a blue lid. It is quite striking packaging so easy to pick out at the supermarket. It has a flip top lid so you can get it out easily without unscrewing things. It only comes ... more

Advantages Advantages works well and not too dear

Disadvantages Disadvantages none really unless your hob is not cool

Homecare Hob Brite Cleaner comes in a bright orange 300ml plastic container which costs around £1.89 from most supermarkets. It is designed for use on ceramic hobs but we have also used it on our stainless steel kicthen kettle with excellent results. Shake the bottle vigorously beforehand to make sure the contents are properly dispersed and then open the lid and pour a tiny bit either onto the (cooled down) hob or onto a clean dry cloth. If the hob is still hot or has not cooled properly the cream will instantly dry and it is very hard to get off. Rub the hob with the cloth and you will ... more
