This review on the Honda will be aimed at the budget second hand car market, of which there are many good examples to be had for less than £500. The Honda Accord, I recon, is one of the best cars to be had from this era and price.

Advantages: That engine, mmm...

Advantages: A gook looker that gives real driver satisfaction

Excellent Motor

This is the second Honda Accord that I have owned. I currently have the hatchback model. The car is very quiet, very reliable and has good acceleration. It is an excellent car for cruising without any strain. My previous model didn't have cruise control but this one does. Not very useful around rural Norfolk but is good on motorways. cheaper than a mondeo

Advantages: Leather, heated seats, climate control, handling, comfort, engine note
Disadvantages: thirsty when pushed
...bought a second hand 1999 honda accord ES in 2003, with just 36K miles on the clock, the car was advertised at £6000 with a 2 year warenty from a honda main dealer.
Before I go any further, if you had logged on to auto trader at the time you would of noticed that this was the cheapest 2 litre family car around with this number of miles.
