See text of opinion.

I’d better warn you now that this isn’t going to be one of those very technical reviews that are done about cars. My technical knowledge ends roughly where the ignition key goes in and certainly doesn’t extend to putting petrol into the tank. When people talk about...

Lovely drive, VFM

Still very expensive

YIPPEEEEE!!!! There’s nothing quite like the glorious, naïve, rosy eyed, uncertain pleasure of getting a new car. A veritable rush of glee washes over you, filling your senses with an unquestioning feeling of outstanding well-being … the gleam, the sheen, the wonder machine … the robust...

A successful much loved vehicle

New models cause eyes to wander off to showrooms

Read any set of reviews and you'll find out the CR-V has a lot of friends - do the same for the Freelander and you find it has very few friends. The contrast between these two British built vehicles of similar vintage and some common parts could not be more stark. So I'm writing this without all...

“Honda make a Jeep.”

published 09/01/2002

Nice looking car with practical benefits

Rear visibility

I would not think of Honda when it comes to 4 X 4 jeep type off roaders. Landrover,Suzuki and Chrysler Jeep yes! it now seems every motor manufacturer wants to jump on the offroad bandwagon and build a 4 x 4. But the Honda CRV is a nice little car as well as an off roader. I compare it to the Rav...

“Honda 4x4”

published 05/03/2008

Lots of space

Would you use it to 4X4

After driving this vehicle even though it was only for an hour i quickly found out that this car has the Honda quality that they are well known for. A estate car that has the means to go off road for some 4x4 experience but i have never seen one on a 4x4 track and would be surprised if anyone...

This is the best car I have ever owned ,it's my dream car. We were on the look out for a good family car.A few times before we bought our honda CR-V my other half would go and look around the forcourt of the Honda Garage which is 2 mins away in the car from our house and admire them. I couldn't...

We have owned our CRV 2.0 sport for about 2 months, having owned a new RAV4 for 2 years. In rewiews they seem to come out neck-a-neck and I can see why. The Toyota is without a doubt the more exciting car-it is almost faultless. The Honda is bigger both in the cabin and boot and that is why we...

If you are one of these people who think that driving a 4x4 off roader vehicle would be noisy with those big chunky tyres, hard to navigate as your 6 feet of the ground and a nightmare to try and get in and out, then get yourself down to the nearest Honda Delearship and be prepared to be amazed...

I bought this car after we had a Vitara, and in comparision to that its great. The interior is excellent, loads of space, lots of storage areas the dash is well set out. The engine really pulls, and you forget what speed you are doing, its a little noisey at the top, but tey maybe due to the...

“Honda convert?”

published 08/06/2004

reliability, solidity

a little 'dull'?

You may have seen my review on my last car... or maybe you wouldn't be looking at Alfas! I have make the perhaps unusual switch from an Alfa Romeo 156 Sportwagon to a Honda CR-V. Perhaps unlucky, I had constant suspension problems with the Alfa. The What Car Customer satifaction Survey, however...

Good

Best facilities in its class with max power

boot space is less, No chrome spinners

Honda came up with CR-V and it has proved a Runaway Success. There wasn't much wrong in Honda CR-V (introduced in 2002) but Honda came up with some changes that exactly we are looking for, like changes in front and rear bumpers as well as repositioned fog lights, projector headlamps and a bigger...

“Honda CR-V Mk 1”

published 16/07/2008

Comfortable and Spacious

No exciting gadgets in the cockpit

I have owned my CR-V for about 8 months, and have covered over 11k miles already. Its one of the older models, 1998 and is the base model. I bought it because it fits in well with my leisure activitys, camping, mountain biking and windsurfing, as well as owning a dog. This is my third Honda, and...

Too tight rear seat belts

I bought my CR-V in a hurry: I had a Freelander that had just blown a head gasket for the second time in a year, and the Land Rover dealer who had sold it to me said I should get rid of it ASAP..... The version of the CR-V I got was an ex-demo Executive model, diesel, with dark rear windows, 4...

“good CV for the CR-V”

published 01/06/2004

Solid and reliable

fuel economy and tailgate design

Having had a Honda before we knew the level of quality we could expect and are not disappointed. Nine months on from buying from new we think this is a typical well built product from Honda, but with a fairly specific target. We live in the country but are not interested in" mud-plugging"...
