Advantages: Great VFM new or used, heaps of performance Disadvantages: Small poxy fuel tank, soft front end, clunky gearbox
...painless but as it’s a Honda we expected no less. It has been totally reliable with not even so much as a blown bulb in over 12,000 miles. Servicing is relatively cheap at about £85-£120 every 4000 miles. The original tyres (Michelin Hi sports) lasted approximately 8000 miles and were replaced with Koncord remoulds which came highly recommended by a friend & neighbour who is a well-known stunt rider (donut record holder) from the NE of England. The ... ...presently running a 170/55/17, and we are positive that this has improved the handling, allowing the bike to flow through corners, much more easily than with the standard tyre and it is much cheaper to buy, which is always good news. Fuel economy is ok at about 40-45 mpg but the real problem is the small fuel tank, which severely limits its range between stops. The best we've managed is 130 miles and the worst is 80 miles before reaching for the ...

Advantages: Cheap to insure, pretty nippy, rarity value Disadvantages: Rare! Parts hard to find, costly if you find them!
...can I say? The 250cc Honda Hornet was the first of the Hornet range although nobody seems to know it! Many have never heard of it, or say "Sorry, 250? Never knew they made one." when you tell them as it's a Japanese domestic model, and never imported to the UK officially. It was demand for these 250 models that made Honda think there was a market in the rest of the World for these funky streetfighter bikes with their fat tyres (even on the 250 it's ... ...version, and then the 900cc one, but they're different stories!
The thing that appealed to me most was that the insurance was so much cheaper than for the 600cc version, and the bikes are virtually identical apart from the engine. Many parts are shared by the two bikes but it's the ones that aren't shared that are hard to source. I didn't really care about this beacuse i paid £537 TPF&T at 18 years old, whereas the same cover on the 600cc version ...

...was lucky to have a Honda Hornet 600 to use for two months. I know you must be wondering why that and not another well thats due to the Kawasaki GT550 being out of production now: its a long story. It's has blue plastic and metal bodywork with black controls with black buttons on the handlebars and blue display screen on the instrument panel. I liked that blue light at night especially I could see it very clearly. It's got many buttons on the front of the handle bars on-off switch, stop clutch/brake leavers, speedo, revcounter etc. The seat ...

Advantages: inspires confidence, the look on 1000cc sportsbike riders as you pass them Disadvantages: i'll get to that!
i'm a sportsbike rider! why settle for less than a sportsbike? that's what i did. i settled on a Hornet 600, and I HAVE NEVER HAD SO MUCH FUN ON TWO WHEELS!
ok, when i see a review on the net that is loonng, i don't bother to read it. maybe it's cos i'm lazy, or just.... nope, i'm lazy. so i will try to keep this short.
i have owned my 600 hornet for about 6mths. it's my only form of transport so i tend to rack up the miles, and know what generally ... ...me about this bike.
to start with it was cheap big tick there then. i paid just over £2000 for a 2003 model which was in mint condition.
i'd like to say how fantastic this bike is at everything, because i love it, but i can't. it is very good at most things though, which in my book is good enough.
LOOKS: mine is a half faired model and when you squint in the right light it looks good, when it's parked next to my mates ZX10, or R1 it has something ...

...and qualified for the free Honda MAC course, which I would also recommend to the novice rider. All in all my bike is a joy to ride, and although I like the idea of a bigger bike, there really is no need to change the one I have. The only downfall is the size of the tank, you can travel approximately 90 miles (depending on how you ride) until you hit reserve which is a bit of a bind on long journeys. ...

Advantages: fast bike which drives good in all conditions Disadvantages: cant think of any
...family my dad bought a Honda hornet for my mom at first my mom was a bit sceptic for a bike with sooo many bhp but after a while she handled the bike just fine, and had no problems controlling the 100 bhp. This bike is perfect for both men and women, if you're not quite sure if you want to buy a super bike or just a bike for small trips then this is a perfect bike for you, because it combines both types. With its nearly 100 bhp, this will get the ... ...either so it's really fast from 0 - 60. I would say this is a good bike for beginners because is nice to sit on and there is never any problems with it. It's also good for the ladies because the seat is not so high above the ground. However if you want to go fast you need lots of revolutions, what I did was to change the exhaust which gave the hornet about 10 bhp more and it also meant that you didn't have to change gears all the time if you want ...

Advantages: handling, riding position, fun to drive, reliability, good look, nice sound, very universal Disadvantages: small fuel tank , can be thirsty, seat not for long runs
I have bought my CB 600 F6 Hornet brand new in 2006 . Since then only indicator lens cracked without any reason ,but it was replaced within warranty. I have done just a bit over 10000 miles on it and it still drives like brand new. If You are looking for universal bike i think hornet is just the bike.I use it mostly in the city where it shows it's potential all the time. It's responsive but easy to control, brakes are good ,handling is a dream, driving ... ...for trips longer than two hours.Personally i recommend new custom one if You've got longer distances in mind. Oh and i have fitted my hornet with a givi windscreen which i think is must have - it looks good and and makes faster rides much more comfortable. Fuel economy is not the best but it's not too bad,all depends on riding style. ...

Advantages: Looks A Right Little Number In Black Disadvantages: Not Known
Hey Guy's,
Just bought a Hornet 600 on the 06...I have only owned this bike for 2 weeks now!! I can honestly say I have never had some much fun on a bike, totally love it, I have the black model with gold writing and Alley wheels, To me it is a right sexy little number. The ride on this little 600 is Great, I find the bike smooth and easy to ride. I have found myself going out at like 2 in the morning for a quick ride" sad I know". The pickup on ... ...I have a few Country lanes round here and in the dead of night, Riding this bike puts me in a great place...I guess the tank could be a bit bigger and hold a few more litres, But you know what, it looks good under the Petrol Station lights so a visit is always worth while..I have cleaned the bike twice...(Ok 3 times) already, And take a pride in cleaning it..A friend (Who is a biker) said to me when I first bought the bike "what are you gonna name ...
