A brillaint 50CC scooter especialy for the new comers to the motor cycle scene. I've owned one for over 3 years and it has not let me down once. Not even in the coldest winter or hotest summer a realy great bike. As soon as it has been derestricted it will reach 55mph with ease. Check out www.x8r.co.uk thats where mine was done realy easy to do. Even after derestriction £3.50 worth of fuel would last ages. The looks of this bike is absolutly amazing bung some neons on and they look bill at night. Quite an expensive bike new but prices are dropping and a bargain can be picked up with ease A ... more

Advantages Advantages cheap, great for 16yr olds

Disadvantages Disadvantages not the fastest scoot, expensive parts

Hi, I just got my X8R-X a month or so back, but it was broken at first, so had to get it fixed before riding. I bought it second hand for £420 incl. a helmet. It's a T reg, and it only has 1 problem - the starter motor is bust. I found out it would be £70+VAT for a new one, so I didn't bother. It's supposed to be restricted to 30mph, but I do 40 on a flat road. I don't how or why it goes so fast, but I'm not complaining!!!! Once I'm 17 I'll de-restict it properly, and I should be able to get 55mph out of it. It gets about 80mpg, and to fill the tank up it only costs about £4. I still can't ... more

go to www.v-e.com, or www.taffspeed.com to find amazing x8rs info to get the max out of your pride and joy, and get it above 30mph. Other than the down side out of the scooter, it is the best lookin scooter around. i love it. tips for boy racers: tint the front indicators, they look the daddy. The bike is not just sporty and good lookin, it also made out of aluminium and has its own racing class! the scooter is practical and a good commuter for all those who are not 16. simple touches such as roomy helmet bay and a hook for a bag make this ped an all round winner! This bike has also beaten many ... more

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Expensive new

I bought my x8r x for messing about it and it was serious fun, they are easy on petrol, if you know the right people it can go over 50 miles per hour (scary biscuits ) the X means it has offroad tyres and funky graphics. They are a tad on the expensive side new, but they are great value second hand, any decent honda dealer should have a couple of them lying around. The seat is comfortable and there is plenty of storage space , and it was on tv in a review and got ace marks ! ... more

I am thoroughly disgusted with the attitude of the staff at Chiswick Honda. I advise that you steer right clear of them, because they are only after your money. Nuff sed. Nuff sed. Nuff sed. Disadvantages Disadvantages poor customer service, no one available to talk to on the telephone, unreliable

Very unreliable company - very poor communication - I was told that nobody would be available to see me on the day I was supposed to pick up my motorcycle. After explaining my situation, I got a call back saying my bike wasn't actually ready for collection - and they were not sure when it would be ready. After agreeing with me that this was absolutely unacceptable and cancelling my agreement, they then proceeded to take a sum of money from my bank account - don't give this company any financial details as they are as incompetent as they come. I am now in the process of recovering my money ... more
