    Advantages Advantages Price

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Quality and reliability

I needed a second vacuum cleaner so as to avoid having to drag my Dyson DC04 Absolute up the stairs to clean the second floor rooms. Having been pleased with the concept of bag less upright cleaners I was in the market for a similar machine. My niece was on work placement as part of her degree in Engineering and had been given a job with Hoover; she learned that I was looking for a second cleaner and offered to obtain one for me from Hoover so as to get a staff discount. This seemed a very good deal as I was able to buy a machine for £100 that was normally available for around £123 including ... more

    Advantages Advantages It Sucks

    Disadvantages Disadvantages It Sucks

I'm not a saint when it comes to keeping a house clean, nor am I completely anal when it comes to domestic work, but I do like my possessions to be clean, and the things that I use to clean those very same possessions should be simple and easy to use. Instead of creating something simple and easy to use, Hoover have decided to produce an abomination of a device that claims to clean carpets. Advantages Advantages Great Suction, Plenty of Gadgets

Disadvantages Disadvantages Bit on the heavy side

Like any young couple, when you move into your first home, you cant afford to buy anything new and what you do need, which do you choose. Like most people we borrowed things and gradually bought new things as and when we could afford it. For the first few months we borrowed my mom's 30 year old vacuum and until I bought my Hoover I thought it was picking up all the bits. When we came to buying our own vacuum its amazing the choice that is out there. The only thing that I did know was I didnt want a Dyson. For start off they are very expensive and second, loads of people that I know although ... more

Advantages Advantages great suction if regularly cleaned, good accessories

Disadvantages Disadvantages heavy, top heavy when using tools

When my husband bought this home I was rather taken aback at the price tag. However, this has proved to be a decent hoover. When new it has such powerful suction that at times it could be a real effort to use. A year later I am slightly disappointed by the quality of this machine. Various minor bits and pieces have dropped off and the internal catch that determines whether the hoover stays upright or not seems to have a mind of it's own. When using the tools to clean stairs, it tends to fall over rather a lot. This hoover has a very useful long flexible pipe which is great for cleaning ... more
