After owning a Hotpoint Aquarius for 8 years, the motor finally gave up the ghost.
We purchased a new Aquarius WT540 from Currys.
On installing it and religiously following the instructions, the machine refuses to work and the wash enhanced, reduced crease and start buttons flash on and off.
After spending over an hour on two phone calls to the Hotpoint call centre (most of this on hold), they could not help either.

Our washing machine is called a Hotpoint Aquarius WT540, It is A rated, freestanding front loading machine, It is 1400 spin speed variable and half load capacity, will take a 7 kg load, without dryinf function.........
This machine since purchase as performed well although it is relatively new machine ( 2 months) it has plenty of use (family of 5) is relatively quiet in its process, washes efficiently and effectively, wish i had purchased it earlier instead of wasting my money repairing the old 1, it is very easy to use and washes clean, comes complete with programme manual and extended guarentee, can be white or grey in colour, ecxellent machine for the price, cold fill only a very good machine

I bought this product 20 months ago and have now started to experience the exact same problems as your previous reviewer of 09 Sept.
Again, calling Hotpoint is of no use as their main function is to sell you a 12month maintenance policy. They should really be able to advise of frequently experienced problems and how to resolve them without calling out an engineer.
I won't be buying another one!

hi i borght this washing machine last year and it is a good overall machine it spins well and it not that noisy its easy to maintain the control panal is easy yo use and easy instuctions to the use of the machine you can get some good programs on it such at very quick washes and they do clean in30 mins or you can have a cycle as long as nealy 2 hours its up to you. its got a big 7kg load capacity good for big familys so you dont need toy keep filling the washing machine just fill once a day thats what i do wait till ive got full loads as you can fit lots in.
you can change speed and tept on this machine.

HOTPOINT: DONT TOUCH THEM MY MACHINE BROKE AFTER 3 MONTHS NIGHTMARE TO GET THEM TO CALL: TOLD THEM NOT TO CALL AS ON VACATION THEY CAME TO THE HOUSE TWICE THEN WHEN I WAS HOME THEY AGREED A DAY I TOOK DAY OFF WORK AT MY EXPENCE AND THEY NEVER SHOWED. WHEN I CALLED THEM SAID ENGINEER WAS SICK BUT NEVER CONTACTED ME. LEFT ME HOME ALL DAY FOR NOTHING - SAID THEY WOULD CALL ME BACK ABOUT 5 TIMES AND NOTHING. If a machine breaks this happens from time to time if the service is good you will still use them they don't know the meaning of service. I wouldn't buy a hotpoint with someone elses cash never mind my own. BEST ADVICE STAY AWAY!!
