I'm not going to write an extremely long review, otherwise you would be here all day. This washing machine has been around for quite a while now, and is still going strong. I will give you the list of main features, but I'm sure the quality will speak for itself. As you can probably see by the product ratings this is a fantastic machine, so here's what I think. The main reason for choosing this machine was that the noise levels were supposed to be better than other products on the market. It has a 47dB noise level, that's really quiet. OK, lets not get too anal about all the functionality and bells and whistles of this appliance, it does after all what it is suposed to do............wash clothes. Also the last thing you thnk of doing when your old washing machine dies is write a review on your new replacement washing machine, but as 29 other people have done so, I thought I'd add my own comments (however useful they may be !!!!) Disadvantages poor customer service from hotpoint, inaccurate timer

Overall this is a great machine. I purchased my hotpoint WTG960G in April 2006, to date I have not had a single problem with it.... Before deciding on my washer I surfed the internet for weeks, readling reviews and opinions. Even with the possible problems I read about, by far this was the best machine for me... With it's stylish good look, super size drum for great large loads, fast washes, easy to use digital displays ( no more knobs and dials.....such a pleasure) and if I wasn't already in ecstacy, the digital display is in a cool neon blue colour, it really does look and act the business....The hand wash really does a ... more

I have owned the hotpoint WT960P washer for 3 mths now and, it is by far the best washer i have ever had and very easy to use. It comes with a very easy to understand manual has a 7kg drum which is great and LCD display, the size of the drum allowes you to put more washing in and, cuts down on the amount of times you have to use the washer. I have washed a double quilt in it and put it on a 1600 spin, i was amazed at how clean it was and was not that wet, i am able to put all my king size bedding in , ie cotton quilt cover, bottom sheet, valance sheet and 4 pillow cases all in one go. After my very ancient hotpoint model started to breakdown and was repaired a couple of times I thought that I had better start looking for a new machine before i'm left without one for weeks on end. Having said that though it inevitably happened and my ancient machine decided it wasn't going to work. So i searched the hotpoint range and decided on this model, larger drum equals less loads and matched our other appliances, great, just what i need. Disadvantages Possible faults with the fluff filter and LED display

This appliance comes with a 1 year guarentee. As an ex-electrical appliance employee (company will remain unknown) I can say that this appliance is reasonable affordable compared to other washing machine makes. Extra insurance is reccomended as there has been a number of recorded problems with the LED screen display aswell as the metal drum of the machine which possibly may not be covered by the first year guarentee. I find the hotpoint WT96PO to be a fantastic machine overall, to start with it is easy to use and very inovative and modern. Although the price tag may not seem to appealing to most I feel that it is very good value for money and would recomend it to anyone looking to renew their washing machine. Once you have the hotpoint installed you will instantly notice the difference between it and your old machine. It features many different wash settings and always produces outstanding results. The main reason for choosing this machine was that the noise levels were supposed to be better than other products on the market. It has a 47dB noise level, that's really quiet. And believe me, when I first used this machine I couldn't tell it was on, apart from the fact that the drum was spinning around. You could hear the noise of the water filling, which is a cold fill only machine, then there is silence while the drum starts spinning.
