    Advantages Advantages It works!

Disadvantages Disadvantages Can't really think of any

I love plants, problem is I’m useless with them. I tend to over water them, or forget completely. I wonder if my fingers are destined to never be green! Good job I don’t have kids! I used to live in a flat with very little natural light, which of course is bad for plants and their photosynthesising. I understood why my plants were dying then, but where I live now, I have everything a plant should need – but they still suffered. That was until I got some plant food to give them a helping hand. Baby Bio is a plant food product, in liquid form, that you add to water, for when you water your ... more

Advantages Advantages Helps my plants, if it works don't change it.

Disadvantages Disadvantages Don't put it in the gravy.

When I was growing up in Lancashire, I remember my Mum feeding our pot plants with Baby Bio. We didnt know a lot about plants and learnt as we went along. I rememer we had an African Violet plant that was almost indestructable. The quirky shaped bottle lived in the back kitchen out of the way of small hands and it's design is still instantly recognisable today. Then I ran away to sea and lived on a boat for 15 years! not much room for pot plants but we did, and still do, have two cacti that have survived with us. Now we are lucky enough to have an apartment with a terrace on which we have an ... more

I've used baby Bio for years and it is fantastic in my opionion for bringing out the best look in your plants, the leaves look greener and the flowers brighter. It is something my grandmother used to use on her plants and I remember her telling me it was her special magic plant food when I was little , so when I got a garden of my own and had the hanging baskets and the planters on the patio I naturally bought this as it is something I have grown up with and know works well for feeding the plants. I pay £1 per bottle from the poundland shop in my local town and a little 175ml bottle lasts for ... more

Advantages Advantages Seems to work well, child proof cap, good sized bottle.

Disadvantages Disadvantages Not sure how well it actually works as nothing to compare against.

I've just this year started growing vegetables in my garden as this is the first time I've lived in a student house for more than one year. This has meant that I can have big pots in the garden without the need to move them half way through the year. I have decided to grow tomatoes and courgettes as they are easy to grow and I like both the vegetables. To help with the plants growth I bought a 175ml bottle of Baby Bio plant food as the plants are kept in pots with cheapish compost in them. --- The Bottle --- The plant food comes in a small plastic bottle that is 15cm tall and 6cm wide at the ... more

Advantages Advantages Cheap, effective, lasts long enough, easy to use, can be used in potted plants and outdoors

Disadvantages Disadvantages Too much may harm plants, but adding too much is unlikely

If you enjoy growing plants, flowers or vegetables especially, this plant food/fertilizer will work miracles on your plant(s), literally! Baby Bio is a very cheap (considering its value for money) plant food that can be used for almost every single plant that you may own. It can be used on foliage plants to make leaves become and look healthy and lush; it can increase flower production giving you a beautiful display, and it can increase your vegetable crop by over a half! Personally, this plant fertilizer has never let me down. Not once. It lasts me the whole growing season long and I use it ... more

I inherited a plant when I moved into my office at work. At one point it must have been quite beautiful with vivid green leaves with a purple tint. However when I got it, it was in a sorry state to stay the least. It had outgrown its pot, had brown, wilted leaves and its stem was drooping quite heavily. I didn’t hold out much hope for it and considered getting rid of it. However at the last minute I had a change of heart and decided to take it home to repot. At the same time I strapped the stem to a stick to straighten it up and began to give it some general tlc. This included giving it a ... more

I'm quite good at growing plants out in the garden, but when it comes to indoor plants I need all the help I can get. Once whilst staying with a friend (keen and very competent with house plants) I described to her the miserable state of my latest indoor plant and she passed me a bottle of Baby Bio. The distinctive dark brown bottles of original Baby Bio plant food seem to have been around for ages, I remember seeing it on shelves of many a home since childhood. I was surprised though to discover it has in fact been in production for over 60 years! The little curvy bottles and labelling has ... more

Baby Bio is the " Holy Grail" of houseplant food . It has been one of the leading houseplants fertilisers for over 40 years . It is manufactured and markeded by PBI Ltd . They are the group who are behind the " Expert " range of gardening books by " Doc Hessayon " When a product has survived this long and kept it's market share in a very competitive industry - that is a signal for the consumer to take note . It is no accident that Baby Bio is still on Garden centre shelves today . First of all it is competitvely priced at between £1.25 - £1.35 for the classic shaped 55ml glass bottle . The ... more

Not being much of a house plant man myself, I had terrible problems trying to keep plants alive. I had these 3 sticks in plant pots with barely any leaves on them and no matter what I had tried , nothing seemed to work. I had re-potted them, talked to them, and even moved them to a sunnier part of the house. But still nothing. After watching my poor plants dying I felt that I had to act quickly to save them the inevitable journey to the bin, well , it was either that or pretend that thats what they were supposed to look like anyway! Time moved on and nothing was improving, the plants were ... more
