Just recently, and after a lot of prompting, my man started to try out the range of Hugo Boss fragrances for men. We started with the ‘Hugo’ fragrance which I’ve already reviewed but have since found another from the range which is even more appealing! ‘Boss’ is a fragrance that any man, of any age, could wear for just about any occasion. Less fruity than Hugo, it has a wonderful fresh and clean scent and is slightly sweeter, much muskier and very very sexy without seeming at all feminine. Advantages Smells great on a man and even better on a woman, Deeply sexy yet crisp, sweet and clean

I first came across Boss by accident. I was going through my label junkie phase and needed my next hit. I walked in to House of Fraiser and picked up a bottle of Boss and gave myself a little spray here and there. Not knowingly that I just contaminated myself (a gal) with a men’s fragrance: it was love at first smell. Now Ladies, I know what you’re thinking but seriously give Boss for Men a go. HUGO BOSS BOSS We were sitting in church on Sunday and I kept getting a whiff of a really nice smell. You know when you keep on wanting to smell something again and again. I asked Jim what aftershave he had on and he said Insignia. Coming up to my birthday I noticed I was running out of fragrance. Nightmare! A good fragrance gives me confidence when having a night out and not having to worry about being ‘smell-less’. Opening up my presents I kept thinking, “Where are the smellies??” None until the second to last present which, upon opening, I found a new scent that I hadn’t heard of before, “Hugo Boss – Boss”. This fragrance for men has got to be my all time favourite - I would recognize it anywhere! It is the sort of fragrance that suits your dad, your boyfriend, your uncle & even your grandad (if he's trendy)! It is a very definitive smell and not too strong. It's hard to describe smells but here we go ... it is a very refreshing fragrance (not sporty particularly but something along those lines) with a hint of almost sweetness but still very masculine - very pleasant to the nose. I bought this fragrance in Canada due to it's low price. There were many people at the counter trying to persuade me to buy 'their' fragrance, but I managed to narrow my choice down and bought 3 different fragrances. Out of these fragrances my Hugo Boss - Boss was by far my favourite. It smells very refreshing and distictive, and I think it is suitable for all occasions. The fragrance lasts on you for a long time, and knowing you smell this good really makes you feel great. I don't know how much it costs in this country, but if you can afford it, i strongly recommend it. ... more

I dated a man once who wore this scent every now and then, and I found it irresistible and intoxicating. I was leaning against his chest when I first smelled it, and it rushed into my head and made me think all sorts of interesting things. It smells a bit like pine trees to me, which remind me of Christmas. Such a smell created pleasant associations in my mind in connection with this man. As a modern (well ish!)man, I am always wanting to smell my best and trying out different fragrances. I have tried a few Hugo fragrances before and always liked everything they produce including clothing always find it to be a of a very high quality. Coming up to my birthday, I needed some new after having hinted at the other half to buy some! On my birthday, beautifully wrapped and purchased in Germany she gave me the box of Hugo.
