Hugo Boss hit the fashion market a good few years ago now, famed for expensive suits and contemporary gentlemans fashion. It's not just clothes though, over the years Hugo has released occasional scent, beginning with "Boss No. 1" back in 1985. There must have been something of an "aftershave boom" in the late 1990s and through into the new millenium as there was a constant stream of new scents being released by most of the big fashion houses. Advantages Gorgeously sexy smell, excellent staying power

While spending some hoarded Maximiles points I chose a bottle of Dark Blue by Hugo Boss for Mark, he doesn't have many fragrances so I like to keep him topped up! Dark Blue is a fragrance for men, not particularly an after shave. It comes in a spray bottle which seems to dispense the perfect amount each time. It's quite a strong scent when you first spray it but will settle down quite quickly, I don't ever think it's overpowering when Mark uses Dark Blue and the smell is amazing from the second it leaves the bottle. Advantages Only a little squirt is required, ergonomically designed bottle
Disadvantages Not up to par of other fragrances

It was my older sister that introduced me to Hugo Deep Blue. It was coming up to my birthday and my mother asked what aftershave I wore. I told her the original Hugo Boss or the original Issey Miyake but not the Issey Blue. Mother being mother got really confused and, bless her, ended up telling my sister that I wore a blue Hugo Boss. Tonight the badger will be reviewing Dark Blue EDT by Hugo Boss. The title might give away my feelings for this aftershave just a teeny bit, but I will try to give a balanced opinion. Dark Blue came into my collection as a gift last Christmas and upon opening the wrapping paper I was impressed by the actual look for the aftershave. The bottle is shaped like an urn, the bottom two thirds of the bottle being dark blue in colour whilst the top third has a metallic finish. Advantages THE greatest smell, nice bottle, long lasting aroma

I first bought Dark Blue a year or so ago "duty free" on my way back to England from France. I say duty free but really by then duty free had disappeared and it was "duty free prices" catchy!! I was in need of some new fragrance since id stupidly left my CK in the last hotel i'd been staying at. In hindsight, the leaving of my CK was less stupid than I had originally thought. As I am always being introduced to members of the opposite sex whilst at university, it is especially important to me that I both look and smell by best at all times! As well as carefully choosing my wardrobe and hairstyle, I need a fragrance that compliments my hectic yet laid back lifestyle. Ok, well if you're a guy reading this then i thought you might like a gals opinion! And if you're a woman anyway, go give it a sniff and you'll see what i mean! I first came across this gorgeous scent back in 2004, when i was struggling to find by boyfriend a xmas pressie. Lets just say as soon as i smelt it i knew this was the one i wanted. Well ok the one i wanted my boyfriend to wear! Luckily for me, my bf loved it too, and this quickly became "his" aftershave! I hadn't read anything about this perfume - I just needed one and I thought I could trust Hugo Boss. So I went to TK Maxx, and they had this on sale for 29.99 GBP, though I wasn't entirely sure if I was buying it the cheapest way, but with a generous 75ml bottle, I though this was quite reasonable. Packaging is quite nice, it's blue and simple, with Hugo Boss brand in red (though I don't really care about the packaging - went straight into the bin). Hugo Boss Dark Blue is the new smell that i have been wearing recently and boy am i glad that i have been. Since i started to wear this colone everyone has been commenting on how nice i smell. Prior to this i had been wearing Hugo Boss for Men and the affect was quite to the same however this smell really is the essence of love. My love life has inproved ten fold and well my work seems to have become noticed more so than normal. Hello! recently i was doing some christmas shopping for a couple of friends of mine and i was trying to choose an aftershave, that would be suitable for my friend, as im no woman i didnt have a clue on what to get so i bought a bottle of hugoboss dark blue, i thought id try it and straight away i enjoyed the fragarance that it gave off, i then decided to keep the aftershave, i have been using kouros up to now and admitadly i could not fault it but this aftershave seemed better, as i work in a night club i have to toil with heat and sweat, this fragerance actually helped me combat my problem ... more
