I would like to bring to your attention the catalogue of disasters which befell my partner and me when we dared to believe your promises.
After paying a deposit of £200 in April 2004 and being advised by your salesman (Adam) that as long ... ...intended to commence work on the kitchen everything would go like clockwork. This we did and also handed over a cheque for £4800. The kitchen was due to be delivered on the 16/07/04 and work was to commence on the 19/07/04. Unfortunately we were to be on a caravanning holiday on the 16/07/04. We liaised with Adam and agreed that my partner would return home on the due delivery date to take delivery of our kitchen then return to our holiday happy ...

Advantages: Quality look at affordable price Disadvantages: Fitting can cost more than buying
If you last visited MFI when your dad was buying a kitchen then its probabily time to give them another go. I have bought two kitchens from them in the last ten years. The first cost under £300 including the worktops and was purchased because it was the cheapest thing I could get hold of and it was a real cheap and a little nasty. It did however last over 7 years before it needed replacement.
I have purchased a new kitchen reciently and while it ... ...is anything but tacky. The wood effect panels look pretty good and are difficult to tell from the real wood items.
The range of different units would meet even the most stringent standards.
They even offer a full fitting service although they won't come to your home to measuree up till you've paid a deposit. Beware however the cost of fitting is not cheap and the basic fitting price quoted can rise quite considerably when any extras are added. ...

...the agreed date, and installation started on time. The whole job was completed in a little under two weeks. The fitters were very friendly and helpful, and the standard of work seems very good.

Advantages: Absolutely none Disadvantages: Overpriced, poor build quality, missing parts. Long wait for delivery.
The Hygena doors and drawer fronts are of a nice quality and that is where any niceness stops.
The base units and wall units were all incomplete, missing dowels, cams, screws, brackets and those white plasic screw and hole buttons.
The laminate on the cornice is falling off where it is not properly fixed to the wood by the manufacturer and we are waiting around 3 weeks for a replacement.
The Rangemaster cooker hood looks as if somone else once ... ...sold on again.
Out of 15 units NONE fitted together nicely with most holes being pre-drilled badly at manufacturing. This leaves un-flush corners, bottoms and tops with gaps around edges, the same on the insides, and an appearance more suited to low quality cheap nasty rubbish.
The prices for the carcases and internal accessories such a carousels and pull-out basket are in the region of 170-400% more than most other kitchen suppliers (using prices ...

...like you to know that Hygena never come up trumps when it comes to promises and delivery! I run an advice centre here in France.Within the last 3 months I have had 3 clients arrive with problems arising by choosing Hygena.On all three occasions it seems the premis is this.The delivery date is constantly changed.When the men finally deliver and then leave,they must telephone the shop concerned to let them know.THEN the shop telephones the client to ... ...is Englands fault and it's not their problem.Whose problem is it?When will delivery take place for these poor people?I have had to pass this onto a French Advocat to get these problems dealt with,and quick!.......The answer is NEVER BUY FROM HYGENA I think. Too late for the sufferers now though. ...

Hygena now sells its kitchen range through selected Currys stores. The prices are identical to MFI and you are much more likely to get time and attention for planning as they are less busy!
The assistant who served us spent a long time planning and running through our requirements and our options, came up with a plan we love and they give you colour representations to take away with your quote. They have a wide range of styles and prices are affordable. ...

Advantages: Fairly Inexpensive Disadvantages: poorly trained and uninterested staff
...and have finally settled on hygena @ Currys. The units appear to be of good quality and fairly good value and I have been quoted £3500 including fitting. However the planning service is not very helpful, the original invoice I received had the wrong size cupboards and in fact missed off one the cupboards on the plan altogether. I had to return to the store on four occasions to correct their errors as each time they were to call me back or confirm ... ...that the sales team are perhaps not that well trained and appear to lack interest in what the customer really wants. Customer service is obviously not a priority, communication with an alien life form would probably be easier for them.
I am awaiting installaion at the moment and hope that the installers are good at there job. The sales team unfortunately do not inspire confidence.

...visited MFI to look for Hygena Kitchen Units and was very impressed by their range and prices, but the delivery times were too late. This is when I realised that Curry's over the same range as MFI, but there delivery times are quicker for some reason.
I had also previously visited B&Q, Wickes, Moben and Kitchens Direct (don't go there!!! see my review on them).
After having had my measurements taken and a colour printout in store I ordered the ... ...I would highly recommend Hygena from Currys to anyone contemplating a new kitchen.
I paid less than £900 to have my kitchen units. I would however recommend getting a private fitter in, as they did want to charge me £1200 to fit, whereas I found someone who did it for £700.

...through the Customer Services at Hygena but you will be kept waiting for ages! Eventually I rang off especially since it was national rate number. All in all, I had a very unpleasant experience buying a kitchen from Hygena. Although the units were on sale, I would question the customer service and after sales care which you should receive from Hygena. ...

...impossible and when you do there rude. i think hygena need to look at there training program if they have one as there sales staff are terrible. i would never purchase anything from them again. fingers crossed i might get the kitchen complete eventually if anyone ever returns my calls. ...
