Cheap to buy, Capable Engine, Good Specification, Roomy
Heavy Depreciation, Poor levels of grip, Some Rattles
"I purchased an Elantra 1.6si Hatchback new about 18 months ago, when this particular specification was due to be discontinued. As a result the "on the road" price had been reduced from £10,995 to £7,500.
It represented good value at this price as it has Air Conditioning, Electric Windows, a CD Player and 4 x airbags as standard - and with a 5 year/100,000 mile warranty included its not hard to see why I purchased it rather than a 2/3 year old Mondeo/Vectra.

"...that there was a local Hyundai dealer helped even more.
The car had a lot for the money, £10,000, including Air Conditioning, Four Electric Windows, Remote Electric Mirrors, Electric Sun Roof, Metallic Paint and plenty of space - equal to the 'old style' Mondeo. I like the driving seat well back and often find this a problem in cars.
I have had the car serviced by the Dealer annually to maintain the Warranty, and so far there have been no extras. ..."
