    5 Stars A super Mini! 18/09/2007
    User recommends the product

Advantages Advantages Very reliable and very cheap to run.

Disadvantages Disadvantages Boot not massive, temp spare wheel.

A few months ago our faithful Toyota Corolla started to over heat slightly, and we realised that having done 97,000 miles in it, it was time to start thinking of change! We headed out one afternoon to buy a second hand car and trade the old one in. During our travels, we stopped in the Hyundai dealership and to our amazement saw the Hyundai Getz with £1000 off the price, 5 year warranty and 3 years RAC. It was not much dearer than we were being offered for second hand cars. So after thinking it over we bought one! The Getz is described as a supermini. What amazed us on a test drive is the ... more

Advantages Advantages nifty, compact but space to move, cheap

Disadvantages Disadvantages cant think of any

My Hyundai Getz was my second car and it is fantastic for the money that i payed for it. I bought it brand new and from the word go i fell in love with it. Within a week she was named (Mo) and was been driven here there and everywhere. She is small enough to fit in any parking bay... within reason. She is nifty for the size of the engine and handles easily zooming up and down the M1. With the price of petrol going up a hyundai getz is a great way to keep those costs down. The Road tax is also quite cheap at £120 a year give or take you cant go wrong. Even though the boot is small it holds more ... more

Advantages Advantages cheap motoring, plenty of space.

    Disadvantages Disadvantages small boot

Hubbie and I went out to buy a second hand car 2 months ago, and ended up buying a brand new Hyundai Getz as we were so amazed at the price and offers! The list price was £8000 but they had £1000 off, plus the first 3 services for £99 (instead of £259 each!), five year warranty as standard and three year's RAC! We've even been offered a free car for 5 years while ours is in for servicing! That sounded to us like cheap, hassle free motoring for 5 years. We are using half the petrol than we used to with our old, larger engine car, insurance group 3 is cheap too, and car tax at £115 a year! The ... more

5 Stars Getz are great 24/06/2008
    User recommends the product

Advantages Advantages Cheap, Reliable, 5 year warrenty

    Disadvantages Disadvantages None

I love my car. I brought my Getz in 04 for £5995. It has 5 years warrenty and 3 years free service. As a first car for a 17 year old, I was completely surprised with everything this little car has to offer. It is deceptively spacious. I now refer to it as a smaller big car, rather than a big small car. It has automatic windows, Central Locking (although not remote) and a CD player as standard. I have never had any problems with the cars performance. It has come out of every service fine, only repairs being made for small things like bulbs and wipers. It passed its last 2 MOT's again with no ... more

Advantages Advantages Cheap as chips, huge inside, warranty

Disadvantages Disadvantages Niggly bits can break easily, not that fast

I love this car. I bought it at the end of 2003, brand new for 6k. It came with 3 years free servicing, car mats and the obligatory 5 year warranty. I mainly use it for town driving, getting to and from work etc. I have no children so its barely been used in the back although does fit in four fully grown adults comfortably as it is incredibly deceptive with space. I remember my first impression was how big it was inside, it might be that the huge dash makes it look more roomy but it definatly adds to making you feel safer as you feel you have a lot around you to protect you. The boot is also ... more

2 Stars Quick review of Hyundai Getz 1.1 GSi 3dr by sig76 19/07/2008
I have owned a Getz 1.1GSI since 2004 and although I was initially very satisfied I have now experienced so many problems it's become a real pain... even with the warranty, which I have used a lot! 3 Oil leaks, radiator replaced, blown headlights, ABS problems, clutch replaced and engine stripped and replaced. I am dreading the warranty expiry. For a small car it's also quite thirsty and does not return the fuel economy you would expect from a small engine.

3 Stars Hyundai Getz small but efficient!! Review with images 10/11/2010
    User recommends the product

Advantages Advantages Cheap, Quality, Good fuel economy

Disadvantages Disadvantages Low on power, small spaces

This was one of the few cars available at a budget price from Hyundai. Was driving this for a couple of years already. This Year 2006 Getz did not change much as compare to its predecessors from the Year 2002 1.3L and 1.5L versions. However it does get an upgrade in the engine department. With the introduction of the 1.1L, 1.4L and the 1.6L engines variants developed for the 2006 series onwards Hyundai cars. They also offer the same variants of these different engine for this award winning car. For the Getz 1.1. Its the smallest engine among the variants. This car is targeting more for the ... more

Advantages Advantages Cheap to buy and run, 5 year warranty, good to drive

    Disadvantages Disadvantages None

I bought one of these little beauties back in January 2008 from my local Hyundai dealership. Its a superb little car that I would recommend to anybody. Its nippy, reliable and well equipped, the five year warranty is brilliant and gives great piece of mind. Its great going for an MOT knowing that your wallet isn't about to take a tanking. For a small car, its surprisingly good to drive and handles extremely well. Insurance is very cheap and it isn't too thirsty in the fuel stakes. I love my Getz and struggle to find anything to complain about. I would definitely buy another Hyundai. If you are ... more

    4 Stars Good Allround 26/08/2007
    User recommends the product

Advantages Advantages sleek design and affordable

Disadvantages Disadvantages No remote central locking

I have been driving this car for a year now and i must say it is a fantastic vehicle. I picked my car up from a local dealer. A 2003 plate costing around £3500, therefore the car still had 2 years left on the 5 Year Standard Hyundai warranty. I doubt you will find this sort of deal on any other car. The car is very spacy compared to other cars in the same range (corsa, fiesta, yaris). The car is fantastic to drive and handles a wide varety of situations very well. The car is very economical and even though the car has only a 1.1 litre engine it handles motorway driving beautifully. The only ... more

Advantages Advantages Compact but roomy, very good fuel consumption, 5 year warrranty

    Disadvantages Disadvantages No central locking

I bought this car largely as a town runaround for me and my toddler but it has proved useful for much more than this. An July 2006 plate cost around £6k with 2400 miles on the clock which was excellent value when you compare with Fiestas / Corsas etc. It also feels much more roomy - plenty head room and cleverly designed to maximise boot space. It comes with the remainder of a five year Hyundai warranty which for the first two years even covers consumables such as bulbs. It also has the remainder of three years RAC cover with At Home included. This model comes with electric front windows, CD ... more
