I had therefore been stuck with the same, huge and extremely heavy white monitor which took up the majority of my computer desk. -----| My experience - (if you want my opinion and how ive got on) |----- This monitor has a 17" viewable screen (17" diagonally, this monitor is not widescreen it is square) at the resolution 1280x1024, with a response time of 8ms, and a contrast ratio of 700:1. This makes it more than adequate as a gaming monitor. When playing games with this monitor it is a much more immersive experience than most lower spec monitors, there is also no ghosting and is very fast, which means you dont get shot by the guy who hasnt appeared yet.
