    I've been after a Hyundai Coupé for a few months. Ever since I saw it on the website I felt I just had to try it out. Now that I have test driven the 1.6 I really must have one. For starters it looks sooo cool! I think it's one of the best looking sports coupes out there. Just look at its rippled bonnet and smooth lines, not to mention the curvy boot. And to be honest inside is just as good as the outside. The leather sports seats keep you in the optimum driving position without taking away any comfort.     Well this is the car im currently driving and i love it ! To date i have had no problems with it and fingers crossed there wont be any for a while. For reliability i would say that the car is excellent as i have had no probelms and iv never really heard of or seen any problems before. For comfort i would say its probably not the most comfortable car iv ever sat in because of the shape of the care and the bucket seats. I woudltn recommend this car for older drivers or somebody with a bad back. Also there is not a lot of space in the back for taller passengers. On the road performance is ... more

    I've been wanting a Hyundai Coupe for a while, but thought they were out of my price range until I checked! I've always been an avid Golf Supporter, so was chuffed with the price. I have a mellow - yellow one which is striking without being to bright and tacky. The curves on the bonnet are lovely, and they never cease to amaze me! The round headlights are very cute, and give it a more classy feel. Paintwork is good, and a good wax each week keeps it in tip top condition.     Selected the 1.6v as a company car after test driving the F2. Unfortunately my car allowance didn't stretch that far so I ended up with the bottm of the range. Nevethless, I've now had the car for 12 months and have put 27,000 miles on the clock with no hiccups whatsoever. The car is very comfortable and I can quite happily fit my daughter's baby seat in the rear. My main irritation is the way the seats do not return to their original position after being pushed forward. The performance is acceptable and if was concerned about fuel consumption, I'd be happy with this car. However, I can't help ... more

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Impossible to get out of it in a glamorous manner

    I saw this outside a showroom and fell in love with it. I wasn't even looking for a car, I was just driving past. It looked very black, very sleek, very sexy and very me! I call it my batmobile and I feel wonderful when I'm driving around in it. Definitely looks best in black, it can look a bit cheap in brighter colours and you don't get the full effect. Inside it's very comfy, lots of curves and extras. Adjustable steering wheel column, sunroof, electric windows, adjustable speed windscreen wipers and, best of all, a sunglasses holder which glides down when you push it. Very posey! It goes ... more

    I've heard this car referred to as the "poor man's sports coupe" and I suppose that's a fair enough comment: it is a really fun, sporty car to drive but it doesn't cost anywhere near as much as anything remotely comparable. I've had mine for five years and I still get a bit of a thrill when I climb into the driver's seat. It has been extremely reliable - I have had no problems whatseover with it, other than a couple of very minor thiings like the front licence plate falling off. Mechanically, it has been absolutely reliable. I suppose my only criticism would be that the seats are not all that ... more

    If you're going for a coupe, get the 2.0 version if you can afford it... the 1.6 looks like a sports car, but it lacks power, especially if you turn on the air-con, then the engine is VERY sluggish. It does use up a lot of petrol if you thrash the engine, but if you don't drive it harshly, the petrol consumption is not too bad compared to other cars with the same cc. Interior is nice, except that your rear-seat passengers will wish you drove a people-carrier if they are taller than 5"2! the bootlid slopes down (it does look cool, but it is impractical for passengers!) and if you've got tall ... more

    To put this quite simply from the start........ No it's not. But, do not let that put you off buying one. I owned one of these cars for 2 years and it lived up to every single expectation that I could have asked from it. The hyundai coupe has a special way of fooling you into thinking that it's a hard core sports car from the moment you sit inside one. As you look into the wing mirrors from the drivers seat and you see those rear arches flare up, it makes you think that you're in an Ascari A10 or some kind of ferrari.     i have got a hyundai coupe 1.6, they are great, nice smoothe and round looks, this car is going to be legend, parts are cheap, easy to modify, and people always look at it. the handling of the car is second to none, goes around the corners with ease, the average mpg i have got out of my car is 30 mpg aroung town, and i got roughly 36 mpg on the motorway. under the bonnet on a 1.6 there is 114 bhp and that is all you need, to be honest if you was to purchase one, go for the SE model, leather interior, cruise control, and air con. thank you for reading my review, hope it helps you with the ... more

    The car looks great and is reasonable in price. I find it difficult to get into the back seats and when your in it is quite uncomfortable, and my head touches the roof, but this can not be helped I suppose if you want a car that looks like this. I have had the car for 7 months and the central locking stopped working and the fan for the heater has stopped working. I have not been able to have these rectified as my car is an import and the hyundai dealer said it is not registed in this country, I have contacted hyundai Uk and have been told it will be rectified in the next few days.
