Sexy Sylvia

Advantages: Smart and reliable
Disadvantages: People carriers can't see you!

Firstly I know nothing about cars and so all technical info will come from my husband who has maintained and repaired every car he's ever had and so therefore knows what he is talking about. I on the other hand only care that they get me safely from A to B and back again in some degree of comfort. I know what a mini and a lambourghini look like and must admit i'm rather partial to the latter so long as it's yellow. We purchased this car as part ...
...and had 23.500 miles on the clock. When my husband told me he was getting another car I wasn't too fussed as I thought the Golf was fine. That said when my husband brought this car home I was impressed. It was silver and very sporty looking and quite sexy. So I thought I would give it the once over from a passengers point of view. I don't drive. I did try it but there was too much concentration involved and as I have the concentration span of a ...

...closest. I bought my 2001 Hyundai coupé 2.0 SE about 6 months ago and am still chuffed with it. • General Hyundai Info • Hyundai has always been known as a value for money manufacturer, however the new coupé seems to break that tradition with the 1.6 priced at £15000 and the 2.7 V6 beast at £19500!! You can get a good deal though on a 2nd hand coupé, I picked mine up for £8500 with 33,000 on the clock I'd say it's an ideal time to buy one. Unfortunately ...
...on the front and back. Hyundai is the first (and as far as I know the only) car manufacturer to provide 5 years warranty on their cars, which I think was started in the middle of '03 • Exterior Style & Looks • The thing I like best about the car is the styling, it's so unique I loved it as soon as I saw it. The way the curves go down the panels of the car is a thing of beauty and I think separates it from any other coupé in the market. The alloys ...

fantastic looking car but be aware

Advantages: looks fantastic, fast
Disadvantages: loses value, faults

I thought I'd write this opinion so that people could read a woman's perspective on the car. The car in question is the special edition of the coupe the f2 evolution 2.0i. The car is my boyfriends and lives up to most mens dreams it is fast, sporty, comands respect and attracts the ladies-well it helped with me anyway. The interior in the evolution is leather with extras such as a chrome gearstick and door foot plates. The paintwork is metallic and ...
...is definately fast and handles well. It has air conditioning, a sunroof and imobiliser and alarm system. So far sounds good doesn't it. Well now I will tell you the problems to be aware of. The car is less than 2 years old but there has been problems the foot plates were rusting and had to be replaced at the last service-although most packages do this free for the 1st 3 years. The metallic paint has also chipped in a number of places and although ...

Why has this Ferrari got a Hyundai badge

Advantages: Gorgeous styling - the list is endless
Disadvantages: The badge could be a problem but I urge you to not discount it

...Welcome to the… HYUNDAI COUPE 2002 I know what your saying. The Coupe is out at the moment. But this model is all new and ready to reach our shores next year. So I will rate this car as well as I can but you’ll have to bear in mind that I can’t drive the car. Don’t discount me yet though because I am a car anorak and I can talk about the next best thing… HISTORY The original Hyundai Coupe stormed onto a tiny small ...
...some very lacklustre offerings from Hyundai – the Sonata and Accent – the Coupe came as a huge shock and wowed car journalists all over the world and was soon getting the tag, as stylish as a Ferrari for under 15k. And it was true. The California design house had done a fantastic job in making the car stand out from the crowd. Of course it was cheap and it didn’t drive too badly although the Puma soon sorted the Korean out when ...

Hyundai Coupe 2.00 SE

Advantages: good looks, great performance, good value for money
Disadvantages: On a slightly negative note, the car is prone to rattles due to the low profile tyres but it's easy to ignore the odd rattle as you notice yet another person eyeing up your car......!

If you are looking for a car which moves, is good looking and a little bit different to the rest of the crowd but don't want to spend a fortune, then this is the car for you! Or at least it is for me which is why I bought a brand new one 6 months ago! I first noticed one zooming past me on the motorway and had to take one out for a test drive! It's a fun car but has all the gadgets you could possibly need; central locking, power steering, electric ...
...1 security system (alarm/immobiliser) etc etc. It even has a place to store your sun glasses above the rear view mirror as well as two cup holders; perfect for a MacDonalds milkshake...! I particularly like the fact that it has a sun roof as well as having airconditioning so you can go for some natural breeze instead. It accelerates quickly and moves like a dream. And it holds the road well. The bucket shaped seats are particularly comfy, especially ...

New Hyundai Coupe 2.0SE (2003)

Advantages: Fantastic head-turning looks, Superb handling, Price!
Disadvantages: 1.6 Model feels underpowered, 2.7V6 gives poor economy.

...ravishing 2.0SE version of the Hyundai Coupe as I have JUST acquired my very own! I undertook lengthy Test Drives of several Cars before I narrowed my choice down to the Hyundai Coupe and the Toyota Celica. Both cars are very good to look at but I honestly believe the Hyundai just edges it. The Celica is probably more suited to 'Boy Racers' or Women. The new Hyundai has been beefed up and now looks far more masculine and aggressive. In Europe it ...
...pleasing aspect about the new Hyundai is the handling and general feel-good factor it gives the Driver. Fuel economy is good on the 2.0 litre Model which is surely the one to go for unless you want raw power (but poor economy) in which case the 2.7 V6 may be more to your liking! The 1.6 version is slightly underpowered and doesn't handle as adroitly as the 2 litre. The leather seats that you get as Standard on the other 2 Models are missing in the ...

The car of my budget-defined dreams.

Advantages: Great styling, nice handling, no faukts in 3 years.
Disadvantages: Price loss from new (OK 2nd hand!), hard driving can drink petrol.

I bought my coupe 3 years ago, from new. The car itself, well, looks great and drives very well. It was the test drive in an identical model that swung it for me. The acceleration is more than sufficient (0-60 in 8.1 seconds) and the handling was nice and tight in the dry. Wet handing can cause under steer, but nothing in excess of other 2.0 cars I have driven. The standard Michelin Pilots are a good all-rounder, and it has taken 30 months to wear ...
...to comfortably sit in the sunroof-specified cars. The one without the sunroof generally have a little more room. The seats are comfortable, but my one gripe is that the "bucket" effect is too soft with the leather and filling. You are not "held in place" when cornering and it could do with some support. Whilst comfortable, the car tire you on longer journeys, primarily due to the hard ride of the low profiles, but it is a lovely cruiser. The brakes ...

Hyundai coupé 2.0 FX

Advantages: great price, petrol consumption and appearance
Disadvantages: large tuning circle and its poor rear visibility when reversing at an angle

I’ve been the owner of a coupe for 8 months now; long enough to have driven it in dry, wet, very wet, snowy and blizzard conditions and it’s been pleasing in all of them but was superb in the worst of them. It seems to glue itself to the road in snow and is the only coupe I have ever had that was actually fun to drive in a blizzard. As standard the Coupe 2.0 comes with electric windows, tilt and slide sunroof, air conditioning, ABS, traction control, ...
...It also has a decent CD player/radio Everything is well laid out inside, although I m personally not keen on the bright orange displays and have turned the brightness down to the minimum, everything is clear and easy to see. The front seats have plenty of leg room with very comfortable seats that give you a very low ride. Front visibility is excellent and it has large wing mirrors that give you a good view. Unusually it has a cigarette lighter ...

Safety Factor, tried and tested!

Advantages: Style and Personalisation
Disadvantages: Unknown brand name for many

On my 3rd Coupe now, the v6. But wanted to share my experience after I upgraded from the 1.6 to the 2.0... of the three, the 2.0 is probably the best of the bunch if you are looking for cost, economy and looks. The single exhaust gave away the 1.6 model, but the twin exhaust and first glance at the 2.0 or V6, give the impression it can move. The extras for both the 2.0 and V6 models also outweigh the 1.6 version, so do consider those. Many overlook ...
...a car turning across me, I was impressed by the resulting impact safety features. Standard as they may be these days, putting them to the test isn't something tried by many. In the 2.0 version, my wife in the passenger seat had a mark on her chin where the air bag ensured her head remained close to the headrest. On my side, the airbag kept me exactly where I needed to be. What was a plus though, was the footing area, normally expected to crumple ...

...the thought of getting a Hyundai Coupe on my mind. However I was walking across the car park and this jumped out at me. The first thing you realise is how sleek and sporty the car looks. It looks so much more expensive than you pay. Also, its kitted out with all of the mod cons including leather seats and air con etc... Whilst driving I find the car is a little sluggish off the mark but when it gets to about 3 1/2 - 4 revs the thing absolutely ...
...even the Hyundai badge can stop that. The only negatives i am experiencing is fuel consumption, not even getting anywhere near 30 mpg. The other problem is that it has the turning circle of a double decker bus. Due to visibility being quite poor i've fitted the car with number plate reversing sensors in order to give me a clue where the back end is. The depreciation doesn't matter too much because you don't have to pay too much for it in the first ...

My Hyundai Coupe FX 1.6

Disadvantages: Hard Ride at times, bad Paint in some cases

...I used to believe that Hyundai made under-Par cars... well, maybe that is a thing of the past, as I am trully amazed by this car, and believe I have made a good Buy. The Attention to detail in making this model was really good, and I believe Hyundai spared no expense to make theirs a very well equiped and afordable sports coupe. My test drive

Advantages: looks, speed, value for money
Disadvantages: not a family car

This is the car I want! Stylish looks, cracking performance (it moves on the motorway!)and not too expensive to buy- but unfortunately a little too much for me at the moment! A beautiful interior, all black leather on this nodel, nice sporty steering wheel and gearstick, although space in the back is minimal with two small seats. Nice wheels, low profile tyres, sun roof, air conditioning, cd player, power steering, electir windows......... the list goes on, and is more than you would expect. However, not a family car, and unless it was locked away I would worry about it being stolen- though it has a Thatcham grade 1 security system (alarm/immobiliser); which can help reduce the insurance premium. Do test drive it- its worth the experience!- ...

Hyundai for a weekend

Advantages: great steering grip as well as road grip
Disadvantages: None

The Hyundai Coupe 2.0 SE 3 door is a great vehicle. I recently rented the same for a weekend and found it to be very comfortable. I paid about 69 pounds for the weekend and that was real value for money. It has a great steering grip as well as road grip and hence is a good vehicle to drive even in tough conditions. I used it to do mountain trails in Wales which in some places were just gravel and one car width. The reverse, the ride was very smooth. ...
...and it was not as good as in this car. It has a large fuel tank and hence I was able to pop in 50 litres in one go. This is great as in that way, I could plan my consumption to give me the best petrol rates on the trip. I found the best rates in Liverpool and topped myself up there. Also using AASite to get the best rates helped me as just a call to my friend with internet got me the location of the best deal. The average fuel consumption was also ...

Quick review of Hyundai Coupe 2.0

I own the 2.0L SE, I have had it about 8 months and I am really pleased with it. Its stylish, and looks more valuable than what it really costs. The insurance costs are pretty reasonable compared with other cars of it class. It is ok on fuel - as long as you drive it carefully. You can fit four in comfortably - and the boot size is excellent. I really like this car, it was a big change from my fiat punto - but I am very impressed. ...
