Advantages: ease of use for people who have difficulty typing Disadvantages: used in certain applications, may slow them down.
I have been using this product for one month now and must say, although being a bit sceptical to begin with; I am pleasantly surprised by the performance of the product.
I have mild Arthritis and wanted to minimise my typing input. On receiving the product, there are clear installation guidelines to follow. Once installed you 'teach' the voice recognition model to recognise the way you pronounce certain words. This involves reading text into your ... ...text, or all of the text provided, obviously the more you are able to do the more accurate it will become. This is a straightforward process. The product claims that after a certain amount of usage you will not need to speak punctuation commands etc, I have not yet reached that stage of usage although, it is infact very easy to speak commands to the product.
