    My very first MP3 player and what a choice on the market at present ...... winner iRiver H10. I managed to pick one up for £100 (see my Unbeatable review) but the going price is £165 at present. Expect this to fall as they are shortly to being out a 1Gb and 20Gb version.     Its an immense little gadget that's reignited my love for music. I first got a portable music device when I was about 16 and got a Sharp Minidisc player. It lasted a good 3 years before packing up shortly after I moved to university and its various parts became scattered.     Advantages Advantages Tiny, built in radio with presets, records radio as mp3, records sound, has amazing colour screen, can do everything you want it to and 6GB portable hard drive to carry your files

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Small 1.5" screen, no built in speaker, special usb connector

    The highlight of the H10 is the amount of functions which are in such a tiny packege, the 1.5-inch display is a little small for me but it shows all the information you need and has small enough text to fit on the screen without you having to squint, the softwear with this product is not amazing but it does the job and compared to some softwear for mp3 players it provides the tools you need at a speed you need, it really is a a joy to use. The touch-sensitive slider control makes navigating your music library a breeze, it can be adjusted for speed much like your mouse movement on your computer ... more

    I would recommend this mp3 player to all potential buyers. I bought this mp3 loking at the specification of the mp3. My own mp3 was a midnight blue 20gb. I think that this is a great mp3 because not only it stores many music as an mp3 player should do, it also has image viewing for putting your pictures onto, a text viewer for reading, voice recording to record whatever you want as well as having the option to listen to the radio. The colour screen makes the mp3 look good and add to the good features of the mp3. I believe that the size of the mp3 is adequate size as it fits in my pockets ... more

    Before i bought this mp3 player i was browsing the net weighing up my options. I thought the nano was a good choice but for the price and reports of it breaking i didnt want to risk it. I then looked at the Cretive Zen Micro , i thought yeah great it has 6gb of space and looks good and has a good UI (User Interface). Then reading reports that it was far too delocate and had a fair few bugs i decided to opt for the IRiver H10 6GB. Since purchasing i have not regretted my decision an ounce.     Disadvantages Disadvantages The tags don't always work using media player so it is worth considering other software

    When choosing an Mp3 player my priorities were good sound quality, cheap replaceable batteries and the ability to use it as a portable storage device. This does all these jobs very well. There are many pre-set sounds styles to choose from but the manual equalizer is a little basic. I was also impressed that not only can you replace the battery but they are less than 20 pounds and they produce about 10 hours of playback. With regards to using it as a portable storage device, simply hook it up to your pc and drag and drop your files across. This method also applies to your music files, although ... more

    The iriver is the best budget mp3 player you can buy, It has a huge 6GB memory which holds enough songs to last a life time. The iriver also has the best touch pad avaliable for an MP3 player, this means you can scroll through songs with one finger easily. The way you put the songs onto the mp3 player couldnt be simpler, you need no extra software it does it all through windows media player automatically, which saves time.
