Jam Packed!

Advantages: One ultra portable device
Disadvantages: Battery Life

This has got to be one of the best Mobile Phones/Pocket PC's on the market. A small sleek device packed with features. The Design is sleek and small 108 x 58 x 24mm. It's one of the smallest pocket PC phones on the market. Weighing in at just 160g it's nearly one of the lightest too. It does feel a little thick and heavy in your pants pocket and is best to carry in the case on a belt. The casing is silver plastic which allows for it to be so light. ...
...body houses a neat well spaced out QWERTY keyboard. All you do is grip the top and slide the back to reveal it. The keyboard does make the device thicker than it should be however the bonus of having it is great for the texter and emailer amongst us. The specs for the device are pretty good it boasts 128mb ROM and 64mb RAM. Texas Instruments OMAP 850, 195 MHz processor which may seem slow to some user but it is dual core and handles all the applications ...

...for this type of product. The imate kjam- The imate falls into the category of pda with mobile phone function and is based around the windows mobile operating system. It is a similar sized to a PDA and slightly larger than a standard mobile phone so you will need to take this into account when considering this product. The main feature of the imate is the qwerty keyboard that is included tucked away neatly under a sliding mechanism that helps to ...

Great combination device for the gadget lover.

Advantages: Slide-out keyboard, touch-screen, Windows Mobile 5
Disadvantages: No 3G, slightly lacking in power

I've run this phone on a Vodafone contract for just over a year now. Previously, I'd had an SPV, which was great, but a little fiddly for many of the smartphone features. The K-JAM resolves every issue that I ever had with the SPV, and provides more functionality that I didn't know I wanted. The first thing to grab your attention will be the slide-out keyboard. This is guaranteed to impress everyone when they see it, and it is as good as it looks. ...
...have thin fingers - if you have bigger fingers, you might find it slightly more tricky. Although you have the option of entering data using the stylus (and the letter recognition software is impressive), the keyboard does make things so much easier. The only thing I dislike about the keyboard is the fact that some symbols are only accessible by tapping a button on-screen. For anyone who hasn't used Windows Mobile 5, it really is a fully-fledged operating ...

Handy device provides everything you need. e-mail, calander, contacts, syncs with just about everything but I was a bit surprised Bluetooth does not connect to Ford's or Volvo's in car bluetooth software... Also it would be great to be able to have access to more software apps. ...

Review of I-Mate K-JAM

I-Mate K-JAM - Good, but a few minor problems

Advantages: Wireless Networking, Bluetooth, IrDA
Disadvantages: Poor Bluetooth Program, Small Screen

The I-Mate K-JAM is also known as the O2 XDA Mini-S. It has a slide-out keyboard which is a very innovative space saver in the design. The Windows Mobile Edition operating system makes the advanced user feel very at home with the Windows XP style design. However, the bluetooth program is very difficult to use since it has no simple connect button. The variety of programs available for the Windows Mobile operating system makes gaming possibilities, ...
...The processor is slow and can sometimes cause long loading times or errors, but mostly just slow software. Although there are a few minor problems with this phone, the basics are there with a large variety of extras. From personal experience, I will never return to normal mobile phone operating systems due to their abstract menus and small screens. ...

Review of I-Mate K-JAM

The K jam is a great pda phone, plenty of features.

Advantages: pkenty of features and slide out keyboard
Disadvantages: mini sd slot instead of micro sd or sd

I found that the imate k jam was a fantastic pda phone, with plenty of features. I used this phone as a student and found that having microsoft word on my phone was especially usefull and saved me carrying around my laptop when on the train home etc. The mini sd slot was a bit of a pain as my previous phones had either used micro sd or I could use the micro sd card with an adapter (as is the case with many mobiles/ pda's), also it can only hold a ...
...if you want to put movies, music etc on the k- jam you will have to carry several cards around. I found that for a pda phone the K jam was fairly small (actually fitting in my pocket unlike some other pda phones) additionally the slide out keyboard meant that it was easy to type long documents, instead of trying to use an onscreen keyboard which is far too small. ...
