A high quality screen.

Advantages: Clarity, Sharpness
Disadvantages: Weight, Size

...above average. Iiyama have built a good reputation for making monitors and it is well deserved if this monitor is anything to go by. It may be a little difficult to get this model now as it is a couple of years old – but the 454 Pro is basically the same as this monitor but with built in speakers and a USB hub. One criticism I would level at this monitor is that it may have a limited life – mine has started to take a while to turn on at first and ...
...takes a while to settle. However I have been told this is something to do with the Trinitron technology used in these flat screens. (Note: the monitor does work but takes a while to turn on – though this could always be my computer not my monitor’s fault). When I bought my 452 it cost me around £300 though they can now be purchased for around £40 less than this if you shop around. At this price they are cheaper than a 17” TFT and with a 19” you ...

Iiyama still the Best!

Advantages: Razor Sharp Definition, Steady Picture, Flat Screen
Disadvantages: Controls can be a bit finicky

Iiyama....this name has been around for many years as one of the leaders in screen technology, it is renowned for the very high quality of it's picture. Since I started in computers back in 1987 I have always tried to own a good monitor because you only have one set of eyes. I've had Taxan's, Sony's, Viewsonic's, and finally Iiyama's. The latest one being the Vision Master Pro 452, it's a 19" Aperture Grille Monitor, and is a member of the group ...
...is flat, dead flat. Because of this the picture is extremely sharp and defined, this is due to the Mitsubishi Daimondtron Tube and Iiyama's excellent electronics. Small text sometimes can be a little difficult to read but this is a charactureistic of the Aperture Grille technology, but if it's graphics that you are after this is an absolutely superb monitor. The onscreen controls are very simplistic in nature but you have a great deal of control ...

Review of Iiyama Vision Master Pro 452

Iiyama quality control sorely lacking

Advantages: Specification and price
Disadvantages: Quality Control I switched brands after 2 failed replacements

...Next morning I rang Iiyama who immediately said they would replace (top marks here - shame about the product!). The replacement arrived 2 days later in a huge box with not much packing. Upon plugging in the desktop appeared with a 1" border all round it! Hell, if I'd wanted 17" I would have bought one. I expect my desktop to at least fit my viewable area! Anyway, I stretched it to fit but the verticals were the same - all kinked and wavy - even on ...
...17" Proview costing $100 is perfect all over!!! Result: back to the dealer and swapped for an LG Flatron. QC seems non-existent. The swap-out warranty looks good but how many times do you have to swap to get a good one! AVOID like the plague :-( ...
