    I have had this monitor for a couple of years now and in that time I have used various other screens for various purposes. From old 15” CRT’s to some of the latest TFT’s. I would have to say that today CRTs offer the best value for money if you are not intending to move them around too much and have plenty of desk space. The 452 pro is not a small monitor it weighs in the region of 25Kg’s and takes up a lot of desk space. If you want something that is more compact, or lighter then you should consider a TFT.     Iiyama....this name has been around for many years as one of the leaders in screen technology, it is renowned for the very high quality of it's picture. Since I started in computers back in 1987 I have always tried to own a good monitor because you only have one set of eyes. I've had Taxan's, Sony's, Viewsonic's, and finally Iiyama's. The latest one being the Vision Master Pro 452, it's a 19" Aperture Grille Monitor, and is a member of the group that are call NF Naturally Flat, and yes the screen is flat, dead flat.     Straight from the box my FIRST VMPro 452 had severe problems. Geometry was way off and there was a reference to drivers in the set up but none supplied. You need to go to their site to d/l them. Great, I'm upgrading from a 17" set to 800x600 so after a bit of screen resizing via the graphics card so I could actually SEE the Start button I got on the net. Once installed I noticed that all the verticals were very "wavy". Not the sort of broad wave you can iron out with a bit of pincushion correction but small "kinks" that couldn't be shifted. 2 hours in I go for a meal and come back. Upon ... more
