...have a friend who chooses Iiyama for his web design business and he was singing their praises. They produce a stable and detailed image suitable for professional use so that was a good start.
Secondly, I wanted a really large monitor for PC games and this one's a whopper. It's a 22". The latest releases with their tremendous detail and realism come to life on this massive screen. DVDs seem perfectly clear.
One thing I noticed on this monitor that ... ...a bit more viable.
So, to sum up: this is a great monitor but it goes back quite a way. If you have the room then the Iiyama Vision Master Pro 513 could be a good choice. If space is a priority then LCDs are improving all the time. ...

Advantages: Great picture quality and BIG screen. Disadvantages: Only suitable for BIG desks.
I've had my Iiyama Vision Master Pro 513 for a couple of months now and I'm dead chuffed with it. I've always shied away from LCD or TFT screens partly because of the price and partly because of the latency (think of it as 'shadows' that are left behind because the screen cannot change the images quick enough.) CRTs are much more capable of very high refresh rates, much quicker than the human eye can perceive! This monitor is no exception with a ... ...a second!) and the human eye is only theoretically capable of seeing somewhere around 25Hz, but purists will say that the faster the better.
Image quality of this monitor is top notch and the maximum resolution (picture detail) is a whopping 1920 x 1440 and that's still at an impressive 75Hz. This is ideal for many professional needs such as web design or CAD but also a dream for the avid gamer who wants as much detail as possible when they frag ...

Quick review of Iiyama Vision Master Pro 513
If you ever need a monitor, don't buy this one. After two years of perfect functioning the anti-glare coating starts to come off in patches, even if you've been using only recommended products to clean it. To add to this, Iiyama uk will refuse to consider this their problem and will cease communicaton with you.I should think they're covering for a bad batch ...
