Ikea Forsiktig Children's Stool A trip to Ikea in my experience means coming out with a selection of items I didn’t know I needed till I wondered around the store and the day I discovered the Forsiktig Children's Stool. It is a white with a slight curve and is 15cm tall. It is made of hollow white plastic with blue dots .This does mean it is does generally fit in with most colour schemes. When we purchased it my son was two and doing a little potty training. I have found this item to be very adaptable. We have used it in the bathroom but my son uses it to climb in the bath independently climb ... more

I often take a trip to Ikea with my daughter as we like the wide choice that they have to offer and the huge selection and my little grandson is now potty trained although he is only just over 2 years old, he prefers to sometime use the toilet instead of the potty. I bought a seat for my toilet and also this stool for him to use to wash his hands after using the toilet so he could reach the sink. It is a white plastic stool, very sturdy and very safe to use for a young child. On the top of the stool there are small blue rubber circular raised pads so it is none slip to stand on the top, they ... more

Living in Cornwall, we are a little deprived of all the nice and big cheap shops. I would love a Primark or an Ikea but hey, living in Cornwall isn't all that bad! My mum often has shopping weekends upcountry and on one trip away she returned with this step stool from Ikea. I already have a Tippi toes step stool here at home for my daughter, but she purchased the Ikea one for around £3 to keep at her house as we visit quite often. The step stool looks is just the right size to be used as a child's stool for the toilet or to reach the bathroom sink. It is around 13cm tall, 36cm wide and 25cm ... more

Living within 15 minutes reach of my nearest Ikea store (Leeds) I don’t go as often as I used to but when I do go every now and then I overload on bits and bobs. I don’t particularly buy furniture or anything like that but go for candles, plants, kitchen accessories etc. On my last trip to Ikea I took my two girls and they went a bit berserk in the children’s section. I let them get a few toy things but my eldest insisted she also needed a new stool for the ‘big bathroom’. They have a nice wooden stool in my en suite where they brush their teeth but they struggle to reach the modern bowl sink ... more

Ikea Child's Foot Stall Since having Jack we have had to have all sorts of child aids around the place to make things easier for him and of course to make things safer. This Ikea Children's Foot Stall is something we have had for a good year or so now and has been a great help to both Jack and myself. Having never been to an Ikea store myself, this item was purchased on line from Amazon for around £3 with free postage because I had purchased other items at the same time and qualified for the free suer saver delivery. However having read other reviews I can tell that the cost if bought from an ... more

I brought the Ikea Forsiktig Stool about 3 years ago. My daughter was toilet training at the time and I was on the look out for a stool for her to reach the toilet and the sink on her own. The main selling point of this particular stool was the fact it cost just £2.50! The Forsiktig Stool is quite plain looking, nothing special but nice enough and neutral enough to fit in to most bathrooms etc. It's white with blue spots on top and is unisex. The stool only comes in one colour and one design. The stool is smooth and has no sharp bits, the corners are rounded and very safe. The blue spots on ... more

I am a big fan of Ikea and although it is quite a distance in the car and I don't get to go as often as I would like, I recently took a trip there with my mum who needed some form of storage system. Whenever I go to Ikea I always end up picking up random items that I didn't even think I necessarily needed but there is just something about impulse buying while there! On this particular occasion I noticed a small white stool in lots of different trolley's and it looked like something that would be handy in the home so when we came across the stand with them on I decided to pop one in my own ... more

My eldest daughter had a pink step when she was little to help her be able to reach things which at 5 years old she doesn't need to use anymore however we noticed that when our younger daughter who is 2 began using the step our eldest wanted to use it so to keep the peace it was easier to buy another one. I am currently working towards being a childminder and so wanted a new toy storage system so we went through to Ikea to buy one of their Trofast systems and saw this step in the store, I decided that this step was ideal since not only did I want a second step in the house but thinking ahead ... more

I have a 3 year old and she is at the stage now where she likes to be independent and unaided in doing things especially in the bathroom area! About 3 or 4 months ago I went with my mum to Ikea and ended up buying this stool. My daughter at the time was completely using the toilet so we had no need for a potty but the only issue was she would often have to struggle to climb on the loo and to reach the sink without me helping her so this stool seemed the perfect idea to solve the problem! It is a decent size stool, which is 37cm wide, 13 cm high and 24cm deep. This height for me is actually a ... more

Utter bargain Now my little girl is getting more independent, I was keen to get her a little step to put near the bathroom sink to help her brush her teeth and wash her hands. I had no real preferences in terms of look or style - after all, how many options can there be for a non-slip step for toddlers! But, as always, Ikea came up trumps with their Forsiktig step - an absolute bargain at £1.99. This is a good size - 37cm wide and 13 cm high - with a slight curve to it. The step is white with blue dots on the top, so it's neutral enough to suit any bathroom and is fine for boys or girls. It's ... more
