I'm Sleeping With a Sultan ;)

AdvantagesComfortable, good value, doesn't dip, no springs to break

DisadvantagesNone

"...category appears to be for Ikea Sultan mattresses in general, which encompasses all mattresses that Ikea sell. My review is for Sultan Fonnes in particular, as it is the one that I have had experience of. When I moved into my flat in Leipzig, my room was completely bare. I had four walls, a door, two windows, a ceiling and floor, and absolutely bugger all in between. Not relishing the idea of sleeping on a hard wooden floor for five months, my friend ..." Read review

guarantee worth nothing as only covers manufacturing defects

Advantagesnone

Disadvantagespoor quality

"bought two sultan mattresses and both sagged in middle after a year. Customer services said this is my fault for not turning them enough. There was no manufacturing defect and the "everyday quality" guarantee only covers that. Pretty poor customer service. Note I did turn both mattresses - I felt they just wanted to get out of their commitment. As a customer I feel mislead and this will influence my future buying decisions as well as motivating me ..." Don't buy one!!

AdvantagesNone

DisadvantagesYou cant sleep on it!!

"...I decided to go to Ikea because their products are well priced and stylish. Since their beds, mattresses, duvets, pillows etc etc are all in european sizes, if you but one, you have to buy the whole lot. Not a problem I thought, it still works out quite cheaply. First up, I decided to but their Kalif Klassisk mattress for no other reason than because it was in the middle of their range - not too cheap, not too expensive. I soon realised why ..." Read review

I feel like a mug

AdvantagesLovely matress for the first couple of weeks

Disadvantagesdownhill from there, poor customer services, avoid at all costs

"I bought an Ikea Hasslebaik mattress 5 weeks ago and paid £255, It was lovely for the first week but less than two weeks in, it had settled there was a big depression in the middle. I have never had that problem even on cheap £99 "Landlord" mattresses. I am not a heavy guy, I bought this bed because it was supposed to be their firmest spring mattress. It was on a 90 day "love it or exchange it" guarantee. Anyway I called Ikea to have it exchanged ..." Read review

Quick review of Ikea Sultan Mattresses

"We bought an Aspelund bed and Sultan mattress and it is the most uncomfortable bed ever. The frame moves frequently so that the wooden slats often fall through and you find yourself sleeping on a slope. The mattress dips in the middle so we sleep nose to nose and it has bumps all over it. We complained to Ikea at the time and they told us there was nothing wrong with the bed and sent us a new one that did exaclty the same. We have ended up spending money on a new bed and mattress. Don't buy beds or mattresses from Ikea!!!

Quick review of Ikea Sultan Mattresses

"Very Bad. We bought this mattress because it seemed good value and came with a 25 year guarentee. After a few months the bed became very uncomfortable, the side walls collapsed, the main part of the mattress sagged and the springs have come though, so much that they left bruises on our bodies. Don't waste your money on this mattress, avoid like the plague.

Quick review of Ikea Sultan Mattresses

"I bought a Sultan mattress with the bed I bought from Ikea. Unfortunately. There's only one option in mattresses at Ikea and that's the Sultan - so I didn't have much choice... A pity, because after a month the mattress was sagging in the middle and after a year now, I wake up every morning with a stiff neck and back because of its non-existent support. And it was the hardest un-sprung mattress they had. These are usually fine for me, but it seems Sultan must be an inferior product. My advice? Stay away from Sultan mattresses.

Quick review of Ikea Sultan Mattresses

"Hmmm... This is not good. I seem to have the same Problem with the same mattress :( I got it in April. I used a huge thick ikea topper on it until recently, But i took it off thinking maybe THAT was what was sagging. Now a week later, no sleep and a bad back, i am 100% sure that the mattress is sagging in the middle. I have turned it twice since i got it too. The thing is HOW the hell am i supposed to take it back? I had access to a van when i got it back then, and help to bring it upstairs. NO WAY am i going thru that again. ALso what will ikea do? I dont want a replacement that will do thesame thing all over again:(

Quick review of Ikea Sultan Mattresses

"I have a Malm kingsize bed (Ikea) and it is the worst bed i've ever slept in, in my life - infact right now i'm sleeping on the floor till I can either sell the bed or give it away! Seriously, never experience such bad back pain, no support, absolutely rubbish, I would think twice before going to Ikea again for a bed.

Saltan Hasselback Mattresses

AdvantagesNone

DisadvantagesMany, Bad backs, Cramps in necks, Bad sleeping patterns, Arguments with spouse!

"...that they were delivered by IKEA delivery service), I would have to bring the mattress back to store in order to get a replacement. I am going to have to hire a van big enough to take these mattresses back. Does anyone know if it is easy to get replacements from IKEA? And what if the replacements do the same thing? Can I get me money back? What is the legal view on this? Can anyone help? ..." Read review

IKEA SULTAN HUSTAD MATRESS - DON'T BUY ONE !!!!

AdvantagesIts cheap

DisadvantagesIts terrible, uncomfortable, badly made, not fit for purpose

"...a Sultan Hustad matress from IKEA together with a bed base. It came with a 25 year guarantee which you would have thought would mean it would last at least 25 years. Unfortunately within 2 weeks the matress had sagged where we slept and the springs could be felt through the top. In addition to this the edges of the matress had collapsed. We took it back within 1 month and got our money back but not without the usual fight with the dreadfull IKEA customer ..." Read review

Sultan IKEA Hassleback Mattress Diabolic rip-off

AdvantagesNone

DisadvantagesNo delivery, bad quality, expensive as doesn't last, gives you back trouble

"...don't be fooled, I think IKEA are expecting people not to go to all the hassle of taking a kingsize mattress back in a van! The bed has not faired much better it has been creeking for some time now and the wooden slats keep falling through, it is actually starting to cause me to have sciatica like symptoms now in my leg on the right side and buttock so itmost likely is sciatica.. I have ordered a new bed now from somewhere else and will be shopping ..." Read review

What a load of RUBBISH! Review with images

Advantagesit looks good in a skip

Disadvantagesit makes the skip look comfortable

"...but after reading the literature, Ikea recommend a "slatted" base so we swopped the bas with the one in my son's bedroom which has slatts. The mattress continued to collaps so we decided to call ikea and complain, they guarrantee the mattress for 10 years so I dont think I was being unreasonable. A man from an "independant company was sent by Ikea to asses the bed. He said the dips were due to SETTLEMENT, I suggested the word he was searching for ..." Read review

ikea matresses

Advantagescheap

Disadvantagesuncomfortable

"I've had three IKEA mattresses. They have all been very poor. The first was a king size foam mattress that was a little too hard at first and then got worse. Then I bought a single sprung one that was even harder. After using it as a trampoline for a time and doubling up a mattress topper and duvet it was just about usable but a little unstable. Now my wife has a medium sprung king size one that gives little support. Maybe I’m dumb, but up to now ..." Read review
