This category appears to be for Ikea Sultan mattresses in general, which encompasses all mattresses that Ikea sell. My review is for Sultan Fonnes in particular, as it is the one that I have had experience of. When I moved into my flat in Leipzig, my room was completely bare. I had four walls, a...

You cant sleep on it!!

I decided to replace my bed and mattress as they were getting old and didn't look very stylish in my new flat. I decided to go to Ikea because their products are well priced and stylish. Since their beds, mattresses, duvets, pillows etc etc are all in european sizes, if you but one, you have to...

I bought an Ikea Hasslebaik mattress 5 weeks ago and paid £255, It was lovely for the first week but less than two weeks in, it had settled there was a big depression in the middle. I have never had that problem even on cheap £99 "Landlord" mattresses. I am not a heavy guy, I bought this bed...

Very Bad. We bought this mattress because it seemed good value and came with a 25 year guarentee. After a few months the bed became very uncomfortable, the side walls collapsed, the main part of the mattress sagged and the springs have come though, so much that they left bruises on our bodies. Don't waste your money on this mattress, avoid like the plague.

I have a Malm kingsize bed (Ikea) and it is the worst bed i've ever slept in, in my life - infact right now i'm sleeping on the floor till I can either sell the bed or give it away! Seriously, never experience such bad back pain, no support, absolutely rubbish, I would think twice before going to Ikea again for a bed.

We bought an Aspelund bed and Sultan mattress and it is the most uncomfortable bed ever. The frame moves frequently so that the wooden slats often fall through and you find yourself sleeping on a slope. The mattress dips in the middle so we sleep nose to nose and it has bumps all over it. We complained to Ikea at the time and they told us there was nothing wrong with the bed and sent us a new one that did exaclty the same. We have ended up spending money on a new bed and mattress. Don't buy beds or mattresses from Ikea!!!

I bought a Sultan mattress with the bed I bought from Ikea. Unfortunately. There's only one option in mattresses at Ikea and that's the Sultan - so I didn't have much choice... A pity, because after a month the mattress was sagging in the middle and after a year now, I wake up every morning with a stiff neck and back because of its non-existent support. And it was the hardest un-sprung mattress they had. These are usually fine for me, but it seems Sultan must be an inferior product. My advice? Stay away from Sultan mattresses.

Hmmm... This is not good. I seem to have the same Problem with the same mattress :( I got it in April. I used a huge thick ikea topper on it until recently, But i took it off thinking maybe THAT was what was sagging. Now a week later, no sleep and a bad back, i am 100% sure that the mattress is sagging in the middle. I have turned it twice since i got it too. The thing is HOW the hell am i supposed to take it back? I had access to a van when i got it back then, and help to bring it upstairs. NO WAY am i going thru that again. ALso what will ikea do? I dont want a replacement that will do thesame thing all over again:(

Hi, We bought two Sultaan Hassleback mattresses and after once month they were sagging in the middle. I went into the store and explained this, the customer service girl said that I had a 25 year guarantee and as long as I had not folded the mattress (when taking it home, I explained that they...

We bought a Sultan Hustad matress from IKEA together with a bed base. It came with a 25 year guarantee which you would have thought would mean it would last at least 25 years. Unfortunately within 2 weeks the matress had sagged where we slept and the springs could be felt through the top. In...

I bought this matress after my old one bent in two, it was old but i loved that bed. So i decided to buy one from ikea, as it was well priced and seemed ok. When i got it home, i slept on it and although i managed to sleep it took a while, as the bed was so hard, i'd bought the medium sprung not...

I bought a new Sultan mattress 2 years ago, that was a mistake!. The mattress now has dips in both sides under where my wife and I sleep. This mattress has been used on two different bases. For 18 months it was on a solid board base but after reading the literature, Ikea recommend a "slatted"...

My partner bought a bed and mattress from Ikea, and all I can say is the 10 or so other reviews on this and mine should be enough to convince anyone not to buy a mattress or a bed for that matter from IKEA. We moved into our first owned home and so needed a bed. The mattress was not comfortable...

I've had three IKEA mattresses. They have all been very poor. The first was a king size foam mattress that was a little too hard at first and then got worse. Then I bought a single sprung one that was even harder. After using it as a trampoline for a time and doubling up a mattress topper and...

I wanted a firm mattress and bought a king size Sultan Furudal foam mattress from Ikea . It is the most uncomfortable mattress I have ever bought mainly because it doesn't ventilate as a normal mattress does and seems to reflect body heat making it difficult to sleep comfortably esp. in summer. I can bear it but will throw it away very soon [ after less than 1 years use] The firmness of the mattress is fine . The next mattress I buy will be from a true bed manufacturer but not from Ikea .
