    Disadvantages Disadvantages immense pain

I couldn't quite think where to put this review because it's not about a waxing product, just waxing in general. I think that Immac is probably the best and most well known brand for hair removal so I have decided this is a good place! I would definately recommend any Immac product, even though they are more expensive they do work better and the results turn out better than any other brand I have used. OK, there's no point in lying, waxing hurts. If you do it wrong, it really hurts and if you do it right, it still hurts. There are several waxing products out but they generally all set out to ... more

Advantages Advantages clean and easy to use

    Disadvantages Disadvantages a bit expensive

Imac Warm Wax Sugar based is an easy way to get rid of those unwanted hairs at home if you use it properly. I have used it for a few years now and having tried and tested other makes (Boots, etc) and other methods such as shaving, creams, etc I have come to the conclusion that this is the best one by far. The product comes packed with a spatula, cotton strips, instructions and the wax container at a price around £8, a bit expensive but well worth it. A bonus is that the wax does smell quite nice, unlike some other hair removal creams. If you have never used this product before, I suggest you ... more

I started to use Immac warm wax Sugar based, when I first arrived to England, three years ago. I couldn't find my old brand and had no choice but try a few new ones. All the oil soluble waxes failed the test because they were very messy. What is very clever with this product, is that is microwaveble, is easy to lay on the skin with a fool proof wooden spatula which has got a special heat indicator, and above all, NO MESS!!! Water rinsable. That's very clever. If you have a hair problem and can't afford expensive laser treatment or the very painful electrolysis, this should be your choice ... more

Advantages Advantages Certainly got all the hair off

Disadvantages Disadvantages It had to hurt

Now this opinion is more for a giggle than anything else so I hope you all see the funny side and for those who don't I don't really care. I served 3 years in the Army and whilst in there all sorts of bizarre things were thought up but this was a classic and not very nice thing to do but the sort of thing that happens. One evening we were let out of the barracks to go on a wild night on the town and believe me it was wild but one fellow in particular was being a bit boring and not really playing the game so he was unfortunatly the victim for the evening and I have been on the victim end before ... more

Advantages Advantages The tubs are more convenient if you can't finish the applicator bottles in one go

Disadvantages Disadvantages Without the applicators, some people may find the spatula takes much longer to cover large areas.

Please refer to my opinion on the immac wax with applicator for the benefits of waxing. The reason why I have alternated to the use of these tubs are mainly due to my dissatisfaction with the change in the colour of the wax after I reheated it too many times as I use the wax only for the underarms and hence take forever to finish the bottle. The tubs allow me to spoon a bit out every time I need to use it, and just heat that bit. It's quicker to heat this way and doesn't spoil the remaining which you don't use. The wooden spatulas that are used to apply are much easier for use on smaller areas ... more

Advantages Advantages Quick to heat up

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Very messy

Oww. Oww. Oww. I can still feel the pain and see the purple skin in my mind's eye now. I cannot possibly recommend this product as it is not as slick and lovely as the adverts make out. I have had one too many times giving it a second chance whilst gritting my teeth in the bathroom before seizing the end and giving it a tug. My cat is often with me fascinating up until the point I scream. Not all of the sugar based lotion comes off when I depilate so I end up have a sticky mess all over my legs and the bathroom. Urgh.. ... more
