...a number of reviews on Indesit washer/dryers recently that have described reliability problems as a major downfall. However, I must say I've never experienced any problems at all. Our last washer/dryer was Indesit and lasted around 5 1/2 years before the drum decided it wouldn't turn anymore. That's not a bad lifespan really. Good value washer/dryer, matt silver finish does not look cheap, easy to operate washing functions which can be personalised. The washing functions are marked on the detergent drawer front so very easy to follow. I did not need to read the entire instruction manual to figure out how to start a wash load!. This is the second machine I have bought, the other we left in our old house for our tenants. We bought it because A: we wanted a silver machine B: we wanted a washer dryer and C: it was cheap. The machine looks good and is very functional. It has special sports/shoe washes etc but I have never used them. There is a short everyday wash but I use the standard cotton wash at 40 degrees which takes about an hour. The dryer takes a long time but I ...

When our old machine broke i thought that it was going to be an absolute nightmare trying to find an all in one that was efficient and was not too expensise. We took a visit to the local store and asked for some advice and this was the one that everyone suggetsed. Have had it a few weeks now and its brilliant. You can shove loads it as it has a large drum. It has loads of se8ttings even one especially for smelly shoes and other things of that nature. ...
...our old one just couldnt. I put evrything and anything in, mix colours and wash at 30 degrees with no problems and all theclothes come out gleaming. The dryer is great too one spin and all the clthes are pretty much dry even if it is rammed full. Recommended to all. ...

I bought this as I wanted something reasonably priced that would fit in with the look of my kitchen. It seems to wash well, and although it does not have the fastest spin, clothes come out reasonably dry. I am most impressed by the very handy quick washes and specialised programs function (including one for sports shoes). we purchased this model 18 months ago. two weeks ago the wash cycle finished and error leds started flashing. joy! after trying to fix it myself i gave up and called an engineer out. it appears that on this model the door lock failing can trigger the control board to die. if that happens a repair will set you back apx £200. our engineer told us not to buy this make in the future as he sees this problem regularly. we have no kids, it's just the two ...
