Advantages Advantages We found it brought up wind

Disadvantages Disadvantages Think it is over labelled as a colic medicine

We have a windy baby, who from birth has determined to be the most difficult wind up ever. He is not suffering from colic, we assume, because he does go down relatively well at night. But...since birth he has given us an awful ride on trying to capture that evasive wind to the suface. When he does ? it feels like it has come up from the boots, but usually it comes in trips and starts (often accompanied with many hours pacing). After two weeks our health visitor prescribed us Infacol simethicone, made by Pharmax Ltd. It came in a 50 ml plastic bottle comes with a lid dropper, and you are ... more

Further to a previous opinion, I feel I should balance the argument. Advantages Advantages zilch

Disadvantages Disadvantages builds your hopes then damns them

No one likes to see their baby crying with colic. Crying is probably the wrong word to use. Perhaps absolutely distressed is more apt. It is an absolute nightmare for parents and baby. None stop screaming, baby turning every colour of the rainbow. The all of a sudden he stops crying. A great big Phew! is let out. Then 2 seconds later he's off again!!!!! You want to pull your hair out or worse. Dont do the 'worse'. Put the baby down in a safe place and go in the garden and shut the door. Go where you cant here the crying. Do not feel guilt. There is NOTHING you can do for colic. The rubbish on ... more

    Advantages Advantages it tastes nice

Disadvantages Disadvantages pot luck that it works

when i had my daughter i breastfed her mainly because i wanted to give her the best start that i could and everything was going well until she started with colic and it was an absolute nightmare until somebody recommended infacol to me. it did actually work for a while but i was still spending hours walking up and down with her but because she was eventually falling asleep i thought that it was the infacol doing the job. it was always at night that she got the colic and after weeks of the same thing we decided that it was the breastfeeding that was causing the problem and i had to give up we ... more
