5 Stars Some Strange Man Stole My Innocence! Review with images 19/11/2006
    User recommends the product

Advantages Advantages yummy, healthy, and guilt relieving.

    Disadvantages Disadvantages expensive, HIGHLY addictive

I suppose I really ought to explain the title to this one. I live in halls, and while I was away some random man followed someone in, broke into my fridge compartment and stole my Innocent Smoothie. I got a phone call from a friend who told me about this heinous crime. A few days later I was asked "has anyone caught that strange man who stole your innocence?" Needless to say I was crying with laughter. Anyway, on with the review! Some Background Innocent are a very special and unique kind of company. They're really just a bunch of lads who quit their jobs because they wanted to do a good thing ... more

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Expensive.....ish

'Innocent' Pure Fruit Smoothie caught my eye on the shelf of my local Budgen's the other day.....ok to be totally honest, what actually caught my eye was the rather dishy looking brunette guy with the bulging biceps buying the spring water next to it ...so how best to catch his attention, aha, I'm clever me, I moved my hand along the shelf and (seductively) slid my fingers around and firmly grasped the nearest bottle to his, brushing my hand with his as I did so...ooops..he jumped like a frightened rabbit, dropped the bottle and legged it !! Disappointed I looked down at what I was left with ... more

5 Stars Super smooth dreamy drink Review with images 05/07/2006

Advantages Advantages Delish, good for you...

Disadvantages Disadvantages umm.. costs £2 if that's one!

Easing myself back in the coffee shop chair I carefully survey my purchases, and enjoy the momentary quiet as my friend is in the queue. Isn't shopping lovely! Suddenly she bangs a small clear bottle with a large white label onto the table in front of me. There is a roundish coloured blob on the front, sporting a silly looking grin and a halo. The label proudly announces the name of the drink: Innocent. 'What's that?' I ask. 'A drink' she says. I sigh and try again. 'I guessed that. What sort of drink?' 'A smoothie'. I stare cynically at the thick almost gloopy substance filling the bottle. It ... more

It is fair to say that in this country we are now more health-conscious than ever before. Campaigns like '5 a day' have made people a lot more aware of what they should and shouldn't be eating, and many of us make a special effort to eat and drink sensibly. One very easy way to contribute to your daily intake of fruit is by drinking fruit smoothies. In recent years, these have become all the rage and names like 'Pete & Johnny' and 'Innocent' are now commonplace in shops and supermarkets. So first things first...WHAT EXACTLY IS A SMOOTHIE? A smoothie is based on a very simple concept. It is a ... more

Advantages Advantages A nice way to get one.

Disadvantages Disadvantages See your shopping bill rocket.

Let's add delicious, tasty and gorgeous to my title list of descriptives, but that's enough about me. I shall try and tempt your tastebuds with something fruity. Pure ☼~☼ Innocent smoothies are, as their name suggests, pure smoothies made completely of fresh fruit and nothing else. I love the way that on all Innocent packaging whether it be the large litre cartons or small individual bottles, they list the exact contents that make up that particular smoothie. Shock horror, I have just pinched one of the kids' smoothies out of the fridge. It is from a pack of four 180ml cartons and ... more

5 Stars Utter innocence in a bottle Review with images 23/05/2009
    User recommends the product

Advantages Advantages Really healthy; loads of flavours and varieties; great packaging

Disadvantages Disadvantages I feel guilty about recycling the little innocent faced bottle; tad expensive

This has to be the cutest bottle you will ever purchase (oh and the best tasting smoothie I'll add). Innocence is a wonderful customer driven company and the quality of their products and comunication with its purchasers shows this. Innocent smoothies are, as you may gather, complete virgins to added sugar and other gunk like additives and preservatives. They are litterally, a bottle of pure pressed fruit. I'm reviewing the strawberry and banana variety because it's my favourite, plus the fact, the little bottle is sittign beside me; watching me type. aww. Let me start with the bottle seeing ... more

Advantages Advantages Good for you, moreish, good way to get kids 5 a day!

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Expensive!

I have been wanting to try Innocent Pure Fruit Smoothie for a while, so yesterday, I decided to treat myself to a 1 litre carton in Asda. I opted for the Mango & Passionfruit smoothie, to compliment to summery weather we have been having of late. Here's my review: *~*~*WHAT ARE INNOCENT SMOOTHIES ALL ABOUT?*~*~* Inncocent make their smoothies using only 100% pure and fresh fruit. Nothing else. No sugar. No Water. No concentrates. And each innocent smoothie contains over three-quarters of a pound of fruit. Which is quite a lot - your recommended daily intake, in fact, great, especially if you ... more

Disadvantages Disadvantages Not so great for my Mum!

When I took my virgin sip of an Innocent Smoothie I was sure I was going to be sent straight to hell for enjoying such decadence, delights and unashamed desire for more, more, MORE!! However, upon reading the ingredients I found that it was not the smokey bowels of hell that I would be frequenting but the glorious gates of heaven, for Innocent Smoothie are packed full of fabulous fruit and nothing else! I knew I just had to write a review as soon as possible to spread the word but when I came to my new found love that is Ciao, I found that I was a bit behind the times as there were loads of ... more

Advantages Advantages All your fruit in one or two slurps

Disadvantages Disadvantages bit pricey for one or two slurps!

We all know we are supposed to eat five portions of fruit and vegetables a day, but how many of us actually get it? I do like fruit, but I fail to eat more than about one piece a day, and this is why I love this product. Its probably the quickest, tastiest and best way to get your RDA (recommended daily allowance) of fruit. Innocent smoothies are little bottles (250ml) of fruit juice, with a difference. They contain nothing but pure fruit, in fact just one bottle provides your ENTIRE recommended daily intake! www.innocentdrinks.co.uk , their well-designed and informative website tells you all ... more

Advantages Advantages taste out of this world, all natural

    Disadvantages Disadvantages very expensive

We're all striving to get more fruit and veg into ourselves and our kids. Sometimes I feel as though I'm fighting a losing battle with my daughter. She is so fussy when it comes to eating fruit and veg and the more I go on the more I know it'll turn her against it. I've tried smoothies before and she really didn't like them, but bless her at least she tried it. Many a time I have passed the Innocent range in the supermarket but it's never reached my trolley purely for the fact of how expensive it is. Four lunch box carton sized smoothies retail at around 2.88gbp per box. However to my delight ... more
